Risk Management: Managing Risks with RAID Log, Tags & Reports
Manage risks on your project to prevent unexpected impacts on project scope, costs and delivery.
Risk management is only available on Business and above, learn more.
Risk management in ProjectManager includes an embedded RAID Log as well as tagging and reporting to track and share risk data in one place. Each risk has a card with rich functionality, collaboration and fields for detailed information.
Use risk management to:
- Avoid impacting the project budget, scope and delivery
- Log, monitor and analyze positive and negative risks
- Set a plan to avoid, mitigate, transfer or accept the risk
- Run reports to share with stakeholders
All project risk data remains separate from other project views, so it won't impact portfolios or timelines.

From your project view, simply enable your RAID log view via the sub-navigation menu, and then select the RAID Log icon in the sub-navigation menu.

Tracking Risks with Baselines & Planned vs. Actual Data
Project baselines on our Gantt chart identify deviations from the project’s original scope, schedule and cost. If there are discrepancies between planned and actual data, this is something you'll want to track more closely.
Exporting and Reporting on Risks
Export your RAID Log data to Excel or CSV using the icon at the top right of the page. Your exported file will include all open risks and each column that you have made visible on the risk list. To include or leave out certain columns from your export, show or hide them on the page.
Add "Risk" Tags to Tasks for Reporting
If you want to run a report targeting risks, add a "risk" tag to relevant project tasks. For example, when adding a task to a project that is a risk, add a "risk" tag. Then, filter by tag for those tasks or run reports based on those tags.

Searching and Sharing Risks
RAID Log items are searchable under our Global Search feature, using "All" or "Task" search settings as long as they are tagged as a risk. When clicking "share risk" from the ellipses menu, you can share the risk directly in the software or copy the link itself.
