Lock Haiku

Rose vines trail across –
The trellis, a sturdy guide
Shoots lock intertwined

We The People

Resistance for a cause
Go the distance for a cause
Reject compliance
Refuse reliance
On unjust laws

Stand up for the weak
Defend the meek
Speak for the oppressed
And distressed
Be the voice they seek

Abandon a system that’s broken
Politicians say they have spoken
For you but their interests are more valuable
And that comes down to capital
Don’t fall for their cheap tokens

Resistance for a future
Go the distance for a future
Reject obedience
Proceed with expedience
From your mindlessly imposed stupor

Goddess

Goddess

Goddess

friendly shadows whisper to me
in the blue moonlight

I am drunk on the sweet smell of
your skin like honey and summer rain

I cry at the sun
recalling my worship like a dream

In The Eyes Of The Law

Paper can’t give validation
Not from station
Neither from rank
Nor sum in bank

Our validity is within
To our chagrin
Disparaging
Views from some sting

A framed marriage certificate
Is terrific
But can’t define
Your love or mine
