Summertime Illusion

Fluffy, white clouds hung in the sapphire sky, motionless despite the light breeze I felt. They reminded me of cotton strategically placed on a Christmas village to resemble snow. In the car with air-conditioning and the snowy clouds above, I almost forgot it was scorching outside.

The Darkness

Some say we are born sinners, inherently given to do bad things. Others argue nature versus nurture, that we are innocent until the age of accountability. Orphaned at birth, the darkness inside took my parents as its first sacrifice.

Wisdom Of Age

The older I get, the more I have an appreciation for the bad choices my parents made. I am not glad they made them, and I certainly would prefer if the ones that affected me negatively had not happened, but I appreciate the fact that we don’t always know our bad choices are bad choices until after we make them. I understand why age can often be associated with wisdom. Simply existing year after year on this revolving ball in space tends to make one wiser by default. Experience equals wisdom for many. I’d like to think it does for me, at least.

Tears of joy and pain; humanity.

Roller Coaster

I never liked roller coasters. Maybe it is the feeling of being out of control, or feeling like I am going to die, or nausea I get from motion sickness. I choose not to get on a roller coaster voluntarily. Unfortunately, life is one big roller coaster and every day is full of ups and downs, twists and turns, and worst of all are the sudden drops. I do quite enjoy the smooth parts where I get to ride and look at the scenery, though.
