Silk Path is a Flimsy!

I started this Bonnie Hunter design in January 2025.

And it isn’t finished yet, but at least it is a flimsy and has advanced to the marinating closet!

It measures about 86″ square. That will change after quilting, squaring up, and washing.

Have fun and carry on!

One of These Does Not Belong

I am pretty sure that you can tell which of the piecing does not belong.

I had a whole lotta cutting left to do for the Bonnie Hunter Silk Path project.

And as long as I was cutting anyway, I might as well make more of those 1990’s charms into half-square triangles. There are only 20 blocks so they will be a small project.

All of that cutting for Silk Path gave me plenty more piecing to do.

One of these days, I will have a flimsy.

A big one.

In the meantime, this project is moving forward.

Have fun and carry on!

Charms from the 90’s Finish

90's Charm Squares

I took those old 1990’s charms and finally made a quilt with them!

The quilt is about 42 inches by 52 inches. No particular reason for this size, except for the size, number and layout of the blocks that I ended up with.

90's Charm Squares

The quilt was machine quilted on my domestic Janome.

Some of the quilting was done with a walking foot, and some by free motion.

I like how it turned out!

I might be motivated to play with some more of these 1990’s charm squares and move them out!

How about you?

Do you have old charms that you were inspired to use? If so, what did you make?

Have fun and carry on!
