The Return of the King ~ Door Number 5: King of Cups aka Chiron

This 2010 portal door feels “up” again right now. I already reblogged it years ago, so I’ll just leave a link here. The quote at the bottom of the door came through after this morning’s dream: “The sky, the sky beyond the door is blue.” ~Ryan Stiles

Oddly–or just normal synchronicity overlay–I’ve been paused while working on a chapter involving Jupiter conjunct Chiron, which is like The Astrology of NDEs equivalent of this door. Jupiter the King as the co-ruler of Pisces (King of Cups), and Chiron the centaur and great healer and teacher of medicine.

The back of the King of Cups Door features this poem by Hafiz:

Dropping Keys

The small man
Builds cages
For everyone
He
Knows
While the sage,
Who has to duck his head
When the moon is low,
Keeps dropping keys all night long
For the
Beautiful
Rowdy
Prisoners.

–Hafiz

I had already chosen to use this poem on this door, so it was quite a fun synchronicity that this door actually contained a key!

I know many people feel paused, blocked, or dramatically slowed down right now. It’s the pea soup of Neptune and Saturn in late Pisces being squared by Mars moving through late Sagittarius, followed by a powerful New Moon on December 19. Other phrases that came through in hypnagogic state:

“Hurry up and wait.”

“Embrace the suck.”

“The sky, the sky beyond the door is blue.”

The first two are military terms. The combination of these statements seems relevant to the collective right now. Despite appearances, there’s been lots of action behind the scenes. When you get nudged to act, follow that nudge. If you do what you needed to do and then hit a roadblock, that’s probably Saturn in Pisces, squared by Mars in Sagittarius. (I initially mistyped Saturn Retrograde in Pisces, but Saturn–Father Time–stationed Direct on November 27. It’s still square Mars and still slogging in Pisces.) Neptune stations Direct today in the final degree of Pisces–and Neptune’s the other co-ruler of Pisces. This crisis degree–29°–is not just the last degree of Pisces. It’s the final degree of the entire zodiac!

Endings are “up” right now, as we make our way through this sometimes bumpy, confusing, and bizarre transition into the vastly new energies of 2026. “The only way out is through.”

My advice? Look for positives and beauty, which are available for those with receptors and a willingness to embrace it all. Be gentle with yourself and others. If necessary, remove yourself from the equation–at least for a little while. So many people keep expressing concern about not moving forward right now. In most cases, it’s just not time yet. No amount of pushing or “should-ing” will change the astro weather. This might be the calm before the storm, or maybe it’s just time for a nap because soon enough you won’t be able to hit “snooze” anymore.

In any case, if you feel stuck, confused, or covered in molasses, you’re not alone! This is the most common theme I keep hearing, and I’m hearing it from some of the most tapped in people I know. It’s not you. It’s the energies. Learn to embrace uncertainty. Practice trusting in a higher order, a higher power. Another thing that came through this morning’s dream: timing and order are related. The order of events matters, but there’s also another kind of order–like following orders. It’s no accident that very concept is being debated in the collective right now, but consider how it applies to your own life.

The most important orders from on high appear to deal with the order of events–aka timing. We’re in the final phase of an incredibly long journey, not just our own lives but for humanity at large. Aristotle’s definition of a good ending seems relevant here: “surprising but inevitable.” We have influence in some areas, but probably not in terms of timing, at least not right now.

Time Dreams and a Podcast

I wanted to bring attention to Ann Kreilkamp’s ARKCroneCast Updates, her new podcast available to Patreon subscribers. The subscription levels are only $5, $10 or $20 per month, well worth it, imho. Ann brings over 40 years as an astrologer, plus 77 years of extraordinary living. I especially enjoyed her latest, Number 11, called “Trust.” She discusses this theme in context of Saturn and Pluto types of trust, and I found it perfectly synchronized with this morning’s dreams.

I left those dreams as a comment on her site, but I’ll share them here, too. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone feeling a huge disparity between right and left brain messages. I know many people keep receiving vivid dreams and visions that seem so real, yet so unrelated to current life circumstances. Ann’s podcast shares different levels of trust, and why this theme seems so “up” right now for so many. (Hint: Saturn and Pluto, though not exactly conjunct, remain super close in Capricorn.)

Anyway, here’s my comment, and here’s the link to CroneCast 11:

Great podcast!

Synchronously, before listening to this, two dreams this morning featured “Time” as a topic, including a wall of dozens of circular clocks, all synchronized, all being kept warm by a “hot plate wall” behind them. The message was one I keep getting, “high vibe and filled with life force energy,” a theme that keeps showing up in dreams about death, mud or dusty wreaths filled with seeds. This particular dream implied that we could “eat Time” and that this time banquet was being prepared and kept warm by amazing cosmic time chefs who knew exactly when and how to serve the right moments as a feast.

In the prior dream, I was in a clothing store, second story, somewhere in Idaho. The female clerk told me that in order to find what I wanted, I needed to cross the street. I went downstairs and began to cross the street, which turned into an intimidatingly wide street.

I crossed at a crosswalk, but the light went through several cycles as I made my way across the street. I was wearing high heeled, intricately carved wooden shoes, which I realized I could not continue to walk in. I took them off, and my bare feet couldn’t continue walking on this road, either. I was already in the middle of the road with cars on both sides. I dropped to my knees, kneeling, and “walking” on my knees across the street.

I worried that no one could see me so low to the ground, that I would get run over. Then I realized that none of the drivers of the cars seemed to notice the lights had changed. Time had either slowed down or stopped for them while I made my way — safely — across the street. When I arrived at the other store, traffic resumed. The store had exactly what I wanted, even though I didn’t know I was looking for it. I left wearing the new clothes.

I love your mantra at the end: “Let the tide carry me, whether it goes in or out.” I think I’ll adopt that one, too. So many Plutonian dreams this past few months! My goodness, it’s Pluto central … with Saturn thrown in trying to stop the tide. 🙂 Thank you.

The Dancing Traffic Light

I love this — and the concept can be applied not just to traffic lights but to all the circumstances, events and changes we keep wanting to rush through because waiting — even for perfect timing — feels uncomfortable. As the pixies say, “When in doubt, dance!”

Letting Go

I’ve been cleansing the entire month of January, which always makes for exciting intuitive sessions as well as major shifts in my own life. One thing I’ve noticed lately as a global and personal trend is an increased urgency in the need to release what no longer serves: relationships, jobs, self-imposed limitations (aren’t they all?!), anything that tugs against the intended direction.

For so long, “hurry up and wait” has created inner tension between visions/intentions/desires and the seemingly endless status quo. People ask me, “When? When? When?” just about every single day. I ask, too. Patience seems in short supply. On the other hand, the world looks very different than it did even two years ago. Despite things taking a long time to line up in their “final version,” the last two calender years have produced more relocations, divorces and sudden shifts in career and lifestyle than I ever remember seeing. On a global scale.

Relationships, careers and situations that felt, “OK” or “not ideal, but good enough,” became mysteriously intolerable or unacceptable, almost as though whatever mitigating force the Universe had provided to keep things going got sucked away and redirected to other things.

Actually, that’s exactly what I sense happened. The Universe’s priorities shifted, requiring a redistribution of energy, people and resources. It’s still a free will planet ruled by Law of Attraction, in that these redistributions tended to answer long held and often silent cries for “a way out” or “a way in.” In either case, most of the people experiencing the sudden shifts admit that things really did need to change.

If you got blindsided, and feel like life just “happened” to you, then you might want to reread my article on Kali: Goddess of Destruction, Time and Change. As Hafiz says, “Love sometimes wants to do us a great favor: hold us upside down and shake out all the nonsense.”

But Love never calls without any warning. A great deal of behind the scenes and inner work takes place in order for just the right circumstances to arise. I decided to write this article because I sense quite tangibly that we’re in final stages of a prep phase. Do I think the end of the world’s upon us? No. Emphatically no.

I do, however, feel a massive amount of energy growing like a weather front about to sweep across the planet; I’m also noticing another round of purging during sessions. Even after the big purges of late 2008 through 2010, some dead weight remains. For awhile, the Universe seemed to say, “Ah, let’s just focus on the big stuff; we can deal with the details later.”

Well, it’s Later. And people are finding that the dead weight they couldn’t bear to release six months, two months, even a week ago, will need to detach in order for them to accelerate at the desired speeds. For some people, letting go of dead weight feels even more difficult than taking those initially bold leaps of faith. Even though much of this planet has already begun its dimensional shift, the thought of intentionally laying aside those old things feels “harsh,” “selfish” or “sad.” Because this dimensional shift moves us into lighter, more rarified energy, though, heavy feelings like guilt and shame become less and less compatible. They simply can’t transcend in the same ways as love, joy, and gratitude!

If you’re committed to your path, or at least to your own evolution, I suggest you allow yourself to feel those emotions and move through them. Conscious people tend to be kind people, and no one wants to inflict unnecessary pain. I understand this; it’s a major reason I opt for a vegan diet, and I attempt to move through life leaving everything and everyone at least a little better than I found them. But … and this is a big but! There comes a time when we need to step back and look at the bigger picture.

When we focus on remnants of the old to such an extent that these attachments prevent or dramatically slow our progress towards experiencing the new, then we need to factor in how many people or situations we’re actually hurting by not allowing ourselves to shine. If expansion means expanded ability to serve the planet, to serve and empower others in bigger and more potent ways, then the small attachments and over-attention to old details, end up creating more harm than good. Sometimes we need to give ourselves permission to let go — not just so that we can then receive, but so that our hands are now free to give in larger and more healing ways.

Our current time feels like a bunch of people have boarded a plane, about to leave the gate. It’s not the only plane that will ever take off, but this is the one that this bunch of people have decided to board. Take-off will occur, and some of the people have already strapped themselves in, ready for the ride of their many lifetimes! Others fret about people who seem not to have made it onto this flight. The fretters do have options, at least until this plane leaves the gate: they can’t make other people or situations get on the flight, but they still have (a little) time to deboard.

Or, they can choose to take the ride of their lives, trusting that others can catch another flight if they really want to and make the effort to procure a ticket.

In some ways, the increased urgency is an illusion. Yes, this plane is about to take off, and no, the Universe will not continue to delay and delay and delay everyone on this flight just on the off chance that your old situation or old lover or old job might possibly want to join us. The Universe has waited as long as it can for this particular flight. It will provide another flight, but if you really don’t feel you’ve said adequate goodbyes and you just can’t bear to leave those people or things behind, then now’s your chance to deboard.

The Universe will provide other flights, but timing matters. THIS plane is due for take-off. Whatever you do not have with you on the plane will not arrive with you. It may arrive on a later plane, or your old “baggage” might get lost for good. If you’ve intended a fabulous destination for yourself and have spent a long time anticipating the flight, it’s nearly time. Are you ready? Do you still like your intended destination? This is a final boarding call for this particular plane.

My own personal sentiments? You bet I’m ready. I love my intended destination. I love the people I see on this plane. I love what they’ll bring to the journey and the destination. Woohoo! As Mr. Mojo Risin’ himself said, “Break on Through to the Other Side!”
