Q: How do I log in to the library databases?
A: Using the student portal to log in to the library databases. Log in with your email (format in 8-digits student ID: 12345678@cc.peralta.edu)
If you have been using the old format abcd1234@cc.peralta.edu, change to full student ID 12345678@cc.peralta.edu at the portal login screen, click Next, then click Forgot my password to reset. Otherwise, the help desk (helpdesk@cc.peralta.edu) can assist with the reset.

Q: I am a faculty member, how can I put books for my course?

Q: I am a student, where can I find the textbook for my class?
A: Bring your picture ID and the textbook information to the Textbook Reserve desk, or click the Reserves Desk for information
Q: What is my library card number?
A: We use the Peralta student ID as the library ID to check books and use print station.
Q: How can I check out a book?
A: You can check out regular books (not a course-reserved textbook) with a student ID at Loan Desk.
Q: How can I return a book?
A: You can drop the book at the dropbox outside the library or return it to the staff at the Loan Desk.
Q: Can I renew books?
A: Prior to the due date, you can call (510)464-3499 to renew your books; otherwise, return the book first for another checkout if no one else requests the book.
Q: I have a hold on my library account. What should I do?
A: Please contact the Loan Desk at (510)464-3499 for it.

A: The library has White Boards available, and you can check out markers and erasers at the Loan Desk.
Q: How much are prints or copies in the library?
A: The library doesn't offer copy services. You can print 20 free pages in b/w from a library computer or wirelessly.
You can scan at no cost, send a digitized copy to your email, or save it to a flash drive (recommended for over 20 pages).
You may also get 10 free pages printing from Tech Center at F-170

A: You can use the library's wireless printing to print from your laptop. Please go to https://laney.goprint.cloud
Q: How can I print in the library?
A: You can log in to the library computers with your student ID and send prints to our black/white-only printer. 20 free pages daily. The printer is at the Loan Desk.
