The Black American Engineering Scholarship Award was created to identify and elevate the best and brightest future engineers. The pool of talent within the scholars is extensive and extraordinary. Every award recipient has a proven record of academic excellence and unyielding determination.
.
With the help of influential teachers along the way, these students graduated from their high schools with distinction. Today, students – many of whom are first-generation collegians – have paved their way into highly competitive universities. They have incredible potential and immense promise.

The Robin Lally Promising Engineer Achievement Award was created to encourage and challenge the Black American Engineering Scholars on their path of excellence. Each year, one student in the scholarship program was selected to receive this prestigious award, its generous grants and the accompanying public recognition.

This promising student had the most outstanding combination of GPA, mentor recommendation and summer internship placement. In return, the Robin Lally Promising Engineer Achievement Award provided:

    • A grant to the recipient’s choice of elementary, middle, or high school in the amount of $10,000. The recipient will have the opportunity to present the check to their alma mater in person.
    • Scholarship funds of up to $15,000 per year, annually renewable.
    • A press release spotlighting the recipient and announcing the grant to the Recipient’s chosen school.
    • Announcement on the Black American Engineering Scholarship’s website and social media.

We are proud of our BAE scholars and mentors and look forward to the promise of a more diverse workforce and even greater ingenuity.
