At Lake Fishing Iceland, we are providing a unique fishing experience where you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of fishing at one of Iceland´s secluded lakes. You can choose between a daily fishing tour or multiple-day tours. You want to experience nature a bit more closely? Then take advantage of our offer to stay in a camper. For those who prefer the comfort of a hotel bed, we certainly also provide stays in hotels, guesthouses or fishing cabins.

Northern Iceland
Lake Fishing Tours

The North: we are approaching the Arctic Circle, driving through green valleys or along steep cliffs by the sea. We fish lakes in Iceland on remote plateaus, far from civilization. During a break – or at the end of the day – enjoy a dip into one of the warm natural hotpods.

Western Iceland
Lake Fishing Tours

The Snæfellsnes peninsula is a fishing hotspot for brown trout and arctic char. Its short distance from Reykjavik makes a suitable fishing spot for people who have little time and who want to get a first impression of fishing in Iceland.

Iceland Lake Fishing Tours – Day Tours

In additon to our three- or four-day trips, we also offer day fishing tours starting from various destinations in Iceland. For Day tours, please contact us at least one week in advance by email or through our contact page with your desired date and pick-up location.

The dull days of winter are starting to disappear and we at Lake Fishing Iceland are getting ready for the new season. Official start for most lakes will be June 1; however, we do have connections to farmers who will give us permission to fish......

And so it goes – winter fell over Iceland and no lake fishing will be possible for a while. However, we are currently accepting requests for 2026! Contact us for our Lake Fishing Iceland  “Spring Specials” for 2026!...

Hats off to Guido! This was a wonderful fishing trip and a testimony that you don't have to be a fly fisherman to catch fish in Iceland. We caught quite a bit of brown trout and an arctic char on worm and spinner in amazing surroundings . Guido knows the best fishing spots for a particular time of the year (this is not easy to figure out in Iceland) and provides all the gear. He gave some excellent tips and thanks to them I was able to catch my first trout on a spinner. Thank you for the memorable experience and for your patience with my spin fishing, Guido!
