Tutored Wine Tasting – German Wines
We decided to open our 2012 series of tutored wine tastings with German wines because of the countless great experiences of pairing wines from this region with fine-dining dishes at our sister restaurants L’ortolan and La Bécasse.
Germany’s wine regions are a textbook example, studied around the world, of grape variety perfectly suited to climate, soil and geographical conditions to create fabulous, ripe, aromatic wines that are renowned and revered for their suitability for drinking with a wide range of cuisines.
We will be working closely with our Chefs and specialist suppliers to bring you a selection of sparkling, white, red and the legendary sweet wines of the country to compliment selected dishes from our repertoire.
An afternoon of Tutored Wine Tasting – German Wines
Thursday 23rd February 2012, 4.30pm to 6.00pm
Enjoy a relaxing afternoon hosted by 10 in 8′s Executive Sommelier Stephen Nisbet who will introduce guests to a minimum of six Germanic wines during the afternoon.
£49 per person inclusive of canapés and a minimum of six wines to be tasted.
Tutored Wine Tasting Dinner – German Wines
Thursday 23rd February 2012, 7.00pm
Start your evening with a delightful glass of German sparkling wine to rival any Champagne, Prosecco or Cava before enjoying a variety of red, white and sweet wines, each introduced by celebrated Sommelier Stephen Nisbet and paired to a Michelin-starred menu.
