Merry Christmas! My studies has basically taken over all of my time, studying for the quantitative methods exam in January. I love the Peace and Conflict Masterprogram but I never thought I'd be so stressed busy with the studies all the time.
Next term we're finally done with the mandatory courses and are allowed to go for the elective courses, will do the Peace and Security course and then probably a course concerning diplomacy and conflict resolution during the second half of the term.

Will have to apply for an internship for the fall term and after that it's thesis writing :)

Just 1½ years to go until graduation! YAY!

Holy shit, I had almost forgotten how scorching hot some of the Sam/Den fics are. I've managed to erase all of the fanfics that I saved on my last lap top so now I'm backtracking through my lj memories in order to find the once I've lost, and hopefully discovering new once in the process.

I've almost forgot that I still have a lj, mostly using Facebook for updating and AO3 for fics. Though now and then I've found myself searching the lj coms for new fics, especially when a new fandom and/or new parings surfaced.

Anyway, chinese studies is killing me and I'm still obsessed with Benedict Cumberbatch. Looking forward to the 3:d season of Sherlock!

We're in the quarter finals in WC Ice hockey and my Bayern Munchen is in the Champions League Final playing against Dortmund!!!!
Having the second to last exam on the 25th, same day as they are playing, but at least it would make a wonderful post exam celebration :).

Leaving for London with my little sister on Thursday, will hopefully bring back interesting books and a Liverpool FC cup.

After spending a great time in China over new years a new term has started at the uni and I'm already getting stressed out abut chinese studies. Still not 100% sure if taking the chinese b-course is such a great idea after all...

Have finally found the motivation to start studying chinese. Though after two months I'm starting to thing that it was one of the most insane thing I've ever done, it's far harder but at the same time somewhat easier then expected.
Two exams are done, at least two more to go >_<

Don't have much of a social life outside class and still struggling with keeping in touch with soccer and tv-series. Though I've found myself being sucked in to the James Bond fandom after watching Skyfall, thankfully it's a small fandom;)
November will be a busy month with three birthdays in the family to celebrate at three different weekends...

The Olympics is soon coming to an end, Sweden is in the softball finals and we've got 8 medals so far. Pretty impressive given that our golden days in athletics are pretty much over with Stefan Holm, Kajsa Bergkvist, Christian Ohlsson & co retiring after the Beijing Olympics 2008.
Michael Phelps brilliant career came to an end after his last swim and last golden medal last week. Sweden flopped bit we'll hopefully get a chance in Rio 2014.

The move is finally over, the last of the folk's stuff has been moved from their old house in Strängnäs to the new one in Eskilstuna. The huge garage, cellar and semi huge attic are crammed with boxes of dad's books, furniture, chests and whatnots. The unpacking and organizing of furniture will start this weekend.
My cousins (Min and Julia) are over almost everyday, which is nice, especially since Min is showing me around the near surroundings here in Eskilstuna while walking the dogs. Julia is exhausting to bring with but that girl has no problem walking 2000-3000m with us.
Feel a bit sorry for Min now since the parents are working, little sister at pre-school and older brother spends all of his time watching anime on his laptop. She usually sits on the couch watching Disney Channel XD while I sit beside her studying for the driving license tests.

Moving up to Uppsala in early September, I found a student room at Gamla Studentstaden where I have my own WC but have to share showers with seven other people.
Having the call for the Chinese course on August 30th and the first three lectures on September 3:d. First lecture starts at 8.30am and the last one ends at 7pm. Gonna be a hellishly long but hopefully productive day. And I'll be moving in to my new home the same evening.

The Euro has kicked off and all the teams has played two games in their groups.
Sweden and Irland are the first two teams to have to leave the competition with 0 points. It fucking hurts. Specially since it is Mellberg's and Svensson's lastbig game as well as their last tournament with the national team. Never hated a player as much as I hate Carroll, Young is a fucker that can happily die and Terry should choke on his own fucking spit and go and fuck himself.
Anyway, Germany, my adopted favorite team after Sweden, is the first to reach the quarter finals! They played beautifully against both Portugal and Holland. Couldn't be more proud of my boys.

So much has happened since I last updated this journal, the folks are finally selling their house and are planning to move in to Eskilstuna, a larger city about 40k from Strängnäs, to be closer to the rest of the closest family. I'll miss this house, mostly because it is the house where they have lived in the longest (10yrs). We're probably not gonna move until late August but there are so many things to pack up. I can only hope that their new house has the space for all of their stuff.
Starting the driving lessons with the driving school again, hopefully I can get the drivings license in august:)

Mood: busy

So, after watching The Avengers with manicr last Saturday I'd discovered three things: Agent Coulson is a BAMF, I've really like Clint Barton (Hawkeye)  as a character and the two of them are surprisingly hot together:D The pairing has eaten my brain and is currently my newest obsession.

Valborg was a blast, except for having to babysit a friends drunk girlfriend for three hours singing children song to get her to sleep. I'm sure that next year will be even better!

WC in ice hockey starts tonight, Sweden vs Norway. We should be able too beat 'em fairly easily. It's basically only the Finns that would pose a real threat to us in the Scandinavic group.

Talk about time files, parents are leaving for china in a week from now, easter is tomorrow and I'm splitting my time between working three days a week, studying full time and trying to catch up on fandom.
The good news is that mom is working full time again, the bad news is that she's at the same workplace as your truly (she earn money from it while I'm only volunteering). Luckily we're in different sections but we still have coffee and lunch breaks at the same time...will have to hide more in the book section when we're in the store together.
Granddad's moved in to the new elderly home in eskilstuna, we're visiting him and the cousins tomorrow for lunch and then we're off to the second cousins outside Örebro for dinner and sleepover.

Not much else is going on in my life, still hooked on Sherlock, The mentalist, Mad Men (love the new season so far) and Criminal Minds. CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 is awesome but kinda hard to catch in time due to time difference and bad streaming sites. Anderson Cooper, the handsome dorky silver fox is as close to a real life Tintin as one can get, always flying out to report on conflicts and catastrophes around the globe. I admire his dedication to his work, his drive and inner strength.
Studies are going well so far, have another paper and a minor essay (20-25 pages) to turn in before the term ends in early june. Looking forward to the wonderful summer of sports; Euro Championship, Wimbledon and the Summer Olympics. And the most amazing thing is that none of the matches will clash:D

Have been down with a cold and fever since last Thursday but am finally feeling slightly better. Listened to Train - Drops of Jupiter the other day, talk about nostalgia. Loved that song when it came out in 2001, we'd just moved from Stockholm to Strängnäs and I used to play it in the background while unpacking the boxes inside my room.

Had a wonderful evening with the gang. It was nice seeing everyone again. Got my wallet stolen in the subway and lost my buss card and id with it. Rather annoying. Got dad to cancel my cards and will sort out the rest tomorrow.

On a happier note; met the cutest baby ever today. He's the 6 months old son of a friends to the family's daughter, half Korean and half Swedish. He's such a charming, outgoing and social lil chico and when he smiled my heart melted on the spot.

Subject:We might not be going to the Euro but Germany is INNNNNN!

We pretty much screwed up our chances of automatically going to the Euro by loosing too Hungary  but at least GERMANY IS GOING! 6-2 against fucking Austria! Miroslav Klose is the king of the pitch!

To sum up our match: Our defense was practically non existent, the referee was bitchy and biased, the hungarian team was a bunch of rough crybabies and we made far too many mistakes.
The only real light in all that misery was our beloved Isaksson. He is truly the anchor of the team and without him we would have lost with more then 2-1.

To sum up Germany's match: PERFECTION! Everything was beautiful and everyone cried happy tears.

Have a cake to bake for nutsoba's b-day dinner tomorrow and write some on the seminary assignments for tuesday. Gonna be working on them with two girls from my seminary group on monday, not too happy with the statistics. Had managed to forget about how much statistics was a part of the method course. Need to dig out the old calculator from the bottom of one of the many boxes I brought home from uppsala...

You are The Star

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised

The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.

Federer is is of Wimbledon, beaten by the bloody Tsonga guy. Södeling got his ass kicked by an aussie teen, Tomic, but the Joker and Murray are still in the game. Guess that we're gonna see more of the youngster on the tour from now on.

Parents are going to drive to Germany tomorrow and I'll have the house and dogs to myself. manicr , nutsoba, brother, Bonde and nutsoba 's new boyfriend are coming over in the afternoon to celebrate manicr 's anti-birthday (or as the call it in Wonderland "unbirthday ") . Midsummer with the girls and bro was a success, even if mom was a bit embarrassing.

Reading Pride and Prejudice and the Alice in Wonderland books for class together with my new otp has gotten me picturing Erik dressed up as Mr Darcy with Charles in the Hatter's hat (And a metal collar) raising kittens together at the Mansion. Don't ask.
Now that gay marriage is legal in New York fandom has exploded with fluffy marriage fics. So much love!

The little one has diarrhea as a consequence from the shots he got las week, poor thing has to be washed every evening, which is not fun fun anyone. Ellen, a friend from 9th grade has just become a mom, crazy. It seems like most of my old friends are either getting married  and/or having kids or in a serious relationship. It's freaking me out a bit, especially since mom is yet again making noises about marriage and grandchildren.

Am still hooked on the BBC Sherlock fandom, reading sherlock/john fics like there's no tomorrow (the upside of stressful situations is that I usually find new parings/fandoms  to distract me with, read obsess over). Have finally found someone for the series cute silver fox as well; Lestrade/Mycroft has some hella weird appeal to it. Read some fics where they were a side paring to Sherlock/John and the authors made it work. Even if they have yet to interact with each other in the series there are some interaction in the ACD verse.

Grandpa had two strokes after christmas but is slowly recovering. Guess that it was a good thing that I'd already decided to move back home for a while. Am still searching for a job (and thus being able to keep my room without having to rent it out) and searching for different internships in stockholm:crossing fingers:
Sister's friend might be able to take over my room for a couple of months so I'll be able to leave the bed, tv and bookshelves, but it'll take a day or two to pack the cloths and books. Not really looking forward to it.

Heavy snow is sweeping over our part of sweden so we'll be snowed in again during the weekend. This morning it took about 30min to get mom's car out of our yard and on the road due to the bloody snow.

Liverpool suffered defeat in yesterdays game against blackburn but they did at least win their first game played on the 1st against Bolton. Sweden is doing good in the Tour the Skii:)
