Turns out DLSS 5 is exactly what it looks like.

  • 0:00 – Someone in the entertainment industry did the bare minimum of human decency and I could just about cry!
  • 3:48 – Hey, the new Pokémon games don’t look technically incompetent. That’s nice!
  • 7:03 – Crimson Desert looks crap but reviewers say they’re hooked, even though the game is kinda crap
  • 17:42 – Let’s laugh at NVIDIA repeatedly shooting itself in the foot with DLSS 5
  • 1:01:02 – Suikoden II and the Absolute Unit!

Movie Mandates: DUEL (TV Movies)

Play

Welcome to Movie Mandates, a review show in which sibling cinephiles Andrew and Keleigh force each other to watch movies according to a monthly theme!  We’re wrapping up TV Movies month with Keleigh’s mandated movie, Duel, the feature film debut of Steven Spielberg, which aired on ABC back in 1971, about a man terrorized by a semi-truck on the lonely highways of the California desert.  Is there a man of flesh and blood driving the truck or is it a ghost truck, forever cursed to roam the Antelope Valley Freeway to sate its unquenchable thirst for blood?

It’s just a dude but he’s not really important so if you like “ghost truck” better, let’s go with that!

  • 0:00 – Trivial Trivia
  • 14:36 – Duel review
  • 1:02:35 – Next episode’s mandated movie

We’ll be back in two weeks with another mandated movie.  If you’d like to watch it, click here to find where it’s streaming or available to rent.

  • 36:13 – Resident Evil Requiem and product placement in video games
  • 51:16 – The Vampire Crawlers demo was cool but I was particularly impressed with the demo for Forbidden Solitaire
  • 1:02:56 – Clair Obscur’s super bosses are not fights, they’re puzzles

Molehill Mountain Episode 432 – YouTube Ate My Podcast

Can’t blame a dog I don’t have.

  • 0:00 – Why I’m redoing episode 432 and the really gross reason there was no podcast or game stream last weekend
  • 4:25 – I finally have enough money to bother investing. Yay! My portfolio is tanking. Boo!
  • 9:10 – Clair Obscur is possibly too content rich
  • 20:20 – Yep, I’m still playing Monster Hunter Wilds
  • 32:56 – I think I’ve seen The Day of the Triffids before but while I perfectly remembered the ending, I didn’t remember anything else (I also go on a tangent about a silent film using an inappropriate jazz loop for its score)
  • 53:29 – I watched John Woo’s remake of his own, The Killer
