Kitflight is the app for experimental aircraft builders to document and track their building progress. Designed with builders in mind, Kitflight offers all the tools you need to keep a detailed log of your work and ensure every aspect of your build is organised and easily accessible. Whether you’re recording time spent on tasks, categorizing your work, or adding notes to photo attachments, Kitflight helps you stay on top of every detail. With powerful search functionality, you can quickly retrieve past entries by title, description, or custom queries. Plus, with seamless iCloud sync, your logs are always up to date across all your mobile devices-whether you’re in the workshop or out and about. Kitflight is built mobile-first, offering an advantage over desktop-only tools, so you can easily log your progress and document your work from anywhere. Inspired by a passion for aviation, this app was developed in memory of our dear friend and pilot, Oleksandr Kukurba. Key Features: - Track Time Spent: Easily log the time spent on each task throughout your build. - Photo Annotations: Attach and annotate photos to document progress in detail. - Organize Your Build: Create custom categories and tags to keep your work streamlined and organized. - Powerful Search: Quickly find logs and entries with advanced search capabilities. - iCloud Sync: Access your logs on all your devices, ensuring your records are always with you. - Mobile-First Design: Log and manage your work from the convenience of your mobile device, wherever you are. - Insights: Celebrate your build progress, check for patterns and visualise your project involvement. - Contributors: Mention people and track their time contributions. The log feed now shows larger photos with annotations rendered directly in the feed. Jekyll export was also improved with persistent photo filenames and better support for captions and annotations. This update was largely driven by feedback from Florian B., a Van’s RV-7A builder. 2.0.2 Mar 19 Jekyll Export time format fixed for contributions, added back kit manufacturer/model to the project settings screen. 2.0.1 Jan 30 Export logs to PDF (US Letter or A4). It is now possible to edit created categories and tags if needed. All these features were driven or suggested by current app users. The Gallery also has a new section that displays a photo grid for each registered category. 1.7 05/21/2025 Building an airplane is a team effort. You can now mention contributors and track individual time spent if you choose to. This feature was suggested by Josh Welsh, a Van’s RV-14 builder. The EAA strongly recommends involving Technical Counselors to provide a second set of eyes and help ensure a “zero defect” aircraft at the final FAA inspection. With this update, you can easily find logs related to TC visits and gain more insightful records overall. Other improvements: - The app now remembers your last selected project instead of defaulting to the most recently created one. - Photo descriptions are now visible in the gallery view’s footer for better organization. These updates are driven by builder feedback. If you have ideas, feel free to email
