Well for those who don't keep up with me on DA...
Another Anime Covention in Nashua, NH is next week. Of course I wait for the last minute for half my display stuff to be done though I'm looking very well on wobble & charm stock. Prints not so much, really nothing con-print worthy since Anime Boston, last of all fanart which sadly sells more often than original stuff unless its epic original, which of course, mine is not.
Partnering with Jesse, the old Anime Club leader from the Highschool days as I did with her for Anime Boston earlier this year. This con and maybe AB 2010 will decide if our partnership stays. She's great and all buuuuut organization skills are zero and I feel the reason she doesn't make as many sales as I is that she overcharges...Merp we'll see, could be just AB was just really big for the both of us to start out with and we both kinda felt that whole weekend's pressure. Plus she'd just graduated form colege so getting stock togetehr in those last couple months must have been a buttload of pain in itself that I could not comprehend. AAC is much smaller, no hotel costs needed since we live in the dang city and commute is nowhere near as painful as Boston's was.
May be partnering with TwinEnigma on DA for AB as well since table & hotel costs are pains in the butt, so the more the merrier. Plus she's awesome. If that ges well, willing to make the trip to Otakon with her as well though we may need to borrow the parental's van because there's no way in hell we'll all fit in Jesse's little car. But that's a con that's kinda up in the air...I'll be happy to live through next week.
The con falls at a great time because its the end of November and peeps start, or for some are at the tail end of, their Christmas shopping soooo maybe we'll sell out of a lot of stuffs C:
In the very least, I hope to break even.
My moneys probably won't be spent anywhere near the Dealer's unless I find Cowboy Bebop boxset for $15 or something. My spending money will most likely go to my fellow artists. They afterall, need it more too. I'm too generous sometimes though...Wonder if anyone will be doing plushies...I do hope Jesse and I are the only ones doing clay...
Prints, well, just gonna try and sell off what didn't sell at AB plus get prints on one piece (MAYBE a second new one, we'll see...) I'm currently working on. Monday or Tuesday I'll get them printed at the latest...
Our display has changed since AB. No cage overhang, just a bar to hook my prints up to.
Anyone attending AAC give a shout C:
