My mother, the lj user May_lyn, fell while getting out of bed yesterday. Dad called 911 when he couldn't get her back on her feet. She's in critical condition.

I guess it's called a downward spiral because of how fast it goes at the end. She's not there anymore. Machines keep her breathing. There's no recognition in her eyes when I walk into her room, or Dad, or my brother. She said time and again that when it got to this point, let her go. So, in the morning, she's being taken off the machines. |
