FOR THE CLEAN UP:
-Identify the spot you would like to clean

-Plan a good spot to start, stop and park safely

-Wear the included safety vest or bright shirt

-Walk against traffic where possible, keeping yourself visible to others

-NEVER touch or collect anything that seems dangerous

-Do not empty liquids out of closed containers – just throw in the trash bag.

-Do not try to sort recyclables from trash – usually it is too contaminated to be recycled

AFTER THE CLEAN UP:
-Use included wipe to wipe the grabber handle and tip, place wipe in trash bag

-Volunteers are responsible for disposing of the litter they collect. If you come across large, bulky items, such as tires or appliances, that you are unable to remove, email info@keepdelawarebeautiful.com

-Return safety vests and litter grabber to the cinch bag and return inside the library (please avoid the book return slot if possible)

-We encourage you to take before & after pictures and upload them at www.keepdelawarebeautiful.com/library. We like to give a shout out to our volunteers on social media and other media outlets. Include the number of bags collected and locations cleaned.
