KATWARN is an emergency app that sends warnings and alerts for all types of disasters in Germany. The app notifies you of any nearby danger or catastrophe, such as an earthquake, fire, or flood.

Low battery consumption due to not using GPS

The app finds your location using as little battery as possible to send alerts. To do so, it uses cell coverage and Wi-Fi instead of GPS. Thanks to this, it can run in the background, so you can forget you even have it installed.

Save up to seven different locations, plus your real-time location

Just in case, in addition to your current location, the app allows you to save up to seven different areas for which you'll receive relevant alerts. This is ideal if, for example, you have a second home and want to know about anything that might affect its surroundings. You can also subscribe to notifications for specific zip codes color-coded according to severity. Finally, you'll receive a warning if you enter an area with an active alert.

The notifications sent by KATWARN are push notifications. This way, whenever a notification is sent, it appears alongside the rest of your notifications.
