About

Kate Lundy is an emerging artist in Pittsburgh whose primary medium is oil paint. She grew up in the Boston area where she won state and national gold and silver keys through the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for her paintings and metal making. Kate moved to Pittsburgh to attend the University of Pittsburgh and graduated with a major in Civil Engineering and a minor in Studio Arts. Kate is currently pursuing a certificate in Digital Design at CCAC.

Although Kate’s primary medium is oil paint, she also enjoys experimenting with different materials. She taught herself woodworking and now creates her own frames out of recycled wood.

Kate’s recent works include portraits and landscapes mainly inspired by mental health and the therapeutic effects of nature.

Kate has participated in several art exhibits and continues to pursue her part-time art career in Pittsburgh, hoping she can one day make it her full-time job.
