I was lucky enough to go see a matinee of the new musical “High Fidelity” today. I have to say, the lead up to going to see it didn’t get me too excited. All the buzz I started to hear was all bad news. Not that it was the worst thing ever but that no one was enjoying it. Well….I have to say that I am glad I go see theatre anyway – this show was so much fun! It featured a really charming cast and some amazing lyrics by Amanda Greene.

If you are in the city and can get discount tickets- I recommend it.

DISCLAIMER: I have never seen the movie or read the book so I have only my reaction to the musical to go on. A high percentage of other people seem to not like this show but you aren’t reading their blogs now are you???

HAPPY B-DAY Mat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi gang,

haven't posted in forever but finally have a few minutes to bog about my life.

I just returned yesterday from Singapore. It was a business trip and maybe not a place that I would normally choose to go, but I thought the idea could be cool too.

My biggest problem with the trip was the idea of flying. I don't like flying anymore. It isn't fun for me and it makes me very nervous. So the idea of 20 hours in a plane was not so thrilling.

Well I made it through the flights- I flew from NYC to Tokyo then to Singapore. On the way back, Singapore to Tokyo to San francisco to NYC. Talk about a long day....

So Singapore was fine. It was a little too much like NYC for my taste. (I love NYC but if I am going to travel to the other side of the world, I don't want to see Outback Steakhouse and Long John Silvers- Starbucks I expected)

The main reason for going to Singapore was to watch some live appearance shows of Teen Titans, Justice League and The Batman. They were three 20 minutes shows that were playing for about 5000 kids a day for 5 days. I was there for quality control - which was easy as the guys putting the shows together are old pros at this sort of thing.

I have to say, there is something to be said for going around the world to see a live show focusing on Zatanna :)

Overall, a fine trip but with so much work to do back here in the states, I wish our management had been smart enough to not accept the trip. Oh well, why should I expect brilliant thinking now.

So work is crazy- one of the guys who works for me left to go back to school and we have had a hard time finding a good replacement.

I have a lot that I want to do to improve the marketing at DC but alot is out of my hands. We shall see what I can get done.

And finally, Christopher and I have been together for just about 9 months and at times it feels like only 9 days or 9 years- both of which feel great! He is a prince among princes and I miss him terribly- he went to Colorado while I was in Singapore but he isn't back till Thursday.
