I’m a PhD student at Ghent University, researching how emotions influence our move towards more sustainability. I studied sustainable development in Uppsala, Sweden and environmental management in Cottbus, Germany.

In 2021, I started to make graphic recordings of online talks and presentations I attended. You can find them sorted according to topic, seminar series, institution, and type. With the recordings, I want to make the knowledge more broadly accessible.
What I’m currently working on

My latest publication
In this paper, we propose three practical tools for educators to use when teaching about climate change to avoid denial, apathy, and despair and allow for a more open and democratic view of the future. Here is my graphic summary of the paper and a bit of the story behind it.

The EMESER network
In 2023, we founded an international research network at the ECER conference in Glasgow to work on the intersections between environmental and sustainability education and emotions. I am responsible for the scientific communication and outreach for the network. Find out more about it here.
