According to a new report from Variety, #MarvelStudios has been kicking around the idea of assembling the original team for an upcoming Avengers movie, which would involve breathing new life into both Iron Man and Black Widow. In more Marvel news, the executives over at Marvel actually considered swapping out Jonathan Majors’ Kang for Doctor Doom. And finally, in even more Marvel news: Mahershala Ali almost left the Blade reboot film due to various concerns he had with the script. According to Variety, the script apparently had the title character, Blade, in the backseat as it was written to be led by three female characters.

When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as “The Marvels.” The Marvels is directed by Nia DaCosta, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Mary Livanos and Matthew Jenkins serve as executive producers. The screenplay is by Nia DaCosta and Megan McDonnell and Elissa Karasik. The Marvels will be available in theaters and IMAX on November 10, 2023.
