In the beach
on the street
in the park

I see them
everywhere
even in the churches.

If Leaves Can Speak

if leaves can speak, a poem about new beginnings, leaves and trees, photography, photos of trees, quotes about leaves, joys of joel poems, poetry
If Leaves Can Speak – – https://joysofjoel.wordpress.com

If leaves can speak
before they fall

Touch the ground
and turned golden brown

They might sing
a lullaby

Kiss your cheeks
then say goodbye

If leaves can dance
and sway their hips

As it bear the fruits
of your full red lips

Then they will whistle
the stars that twinkle

As the sun and moon
play in dazzle.

But if leaves can speak
the truth as it falls

They withered and leave
as they were swept by your feet

As you trample on them
and leave them beaten

For the truth you seek
is not always in rhythm

To the hopes and dreams
of your unspoken wishes.

And if leaves can speak
and you still hear not a thing

Just wait for the breeze
as it falls from the trees

Through the help of the wind
You will hear its voice

As it change its color
And teach you new beginnings.

A Quote by Oscar Wilde

a quote by oscar wilde, joys of joel poems, poem about being yourself, identity and uniqueness, car photo
A quote by Oscar Wilde, Poetry by Joel F – – https://joysofjoel.wordpress.com

“Why are you trying so hard to fit in when you are born to stand out?”

The movie What A Girl Wants was a bit trashy but at least it gave memorable punchlines. Or should i say it’s a Dr. Seuss’ quote that was used by the movie?

Either way, it reminds me of A quote by Oscar Wilde which truly fits this scene just like this beetle car that caught my attention.

Achievements and setbacks, trials and success. joys and sorrows. It makes one unique and just like this beetle that’s stuffed with fancy things we normally ignore until it was collectively decorated. Only then we appreciate the end result. And yes i can say you are only one.  Unique and Decorated.

Leave Me Like September

long ditance relationships poem, joys of joel poems, leave me like september, why love waits
A poem about Long Distance Relationships – https://joysofjoel.wordpress.com

Come what May
you say

Let’s dance in June
and fly away

it’s now July
i stop asking why

in no time
you’ll be gone

come August
it never really last

so you leave me
like September

again i’m alone
on October

wishing that November
will fly so fast

so it will be December
jazz the christmas tree

lights my face
when i see your card

reminding me
that you’ll be back

hold your hand
and embrace you back

Finally
it’s January

still no valentines
this February

forward March
it’s really hard

keep the faith
on April fool’s day

come what May
this time i say

this is the last time
i’ll wait for summer

but year after year
you made me wonder

why love still waits
and believe in forever.
