A Milestone in Jonas’s Global Journey
Jonas Software has achieved a major milestone – becoming the first Constellation Software company to expand into Hungary. Through our Vesta Software Group portfolio, Jonas has entered one of Central Europe’s most dynamic software markets. Continuing our mission to find and support great vertical market software (VMS) companies around the world.
This move reflects the Jonas philosophy: to buy and hold forever, ensuring that the businesses we acquire continue to thrive with stability, autonomy, and shared best practices.
As Sorin Petcu, Group Leader at Vesta Software Group, explains: “Vesta Software Group strategically expanded into Hungary to leverage its strong vertical market software companies, skilled workforce, economic stability, and central European location. We are navigating its unique regulatory and integration challenges while establishing Hungary as a regional hub for growth and operational efficiency.”
The Expansion: Three Acquisitions, One Shared Vision
Jonas’s Hungarian expansion began with the acquisitions of Béker-Soft Informatika Kft. (“Béker-Soft”), Arenim Technologies Kft. (“ArenimTel”), and Jegymester – three respected software businesses serving their niche verticals.
Each company has built strong reputations and customer relationships in their verticals, qualities Jonas looks for in every acquisition.
“Vesta looks for companies that are market leaders or have the potential to become number one in their verticals, with Jonas’s valued business metrics,” said Petcu. “Hungary offered strong candidates in healthcare, financial and telecom software, aligning perfectly with Vesta’s growth playbook.”
Béker-Soft is a leading provider and developer of complete software solutions for Hungarian healthcare institutions. Their products include fully integrated and comprehensive patient management and radiology software systems.
ArenimTel specializes in providing state-of-the-art Cloud-based Call Center & PBX (CCaaS) solutions to businesses.
Jegymester is a leading ticketing platform in Hungary, specialising in online sales and on-premise ticketing solutions for theatrical performances, exhibitions, concerts, and sporting events.
Why Hungary?
Hungary has emerged as a compelling environment for software investment. The country blends technical excellence, economic resilience, and strategic European positioning.
“Hungary boasts a strong technical talent pool, with approximately 80,000 professional developers and 3,000 IT graduates annually,” noted Petcu. “This supports Vesta’s need for high-quality engineering capabilities in vertical software markets.”
The country’s pro-innovation policies make it ideal for Jonas’s buy-and-hold model. Its central European location also positions it as a natural hub for regional collaboration.
“Vesta operates under a ‘buy-and-hold forever’ model, meaning we never sell acquired businesses,” Petcu explained. “This philosophy aligns with our goal of preserving company identity while accelerating growth through shared best practices and capital resources.”
Voices of the Owners: Shared Values, Local Impact
The Hungarian software business owners felt aligned with Jonas’s long-term vision of maintaining a deep commitment to their products, teams, and customers.
“Hungarian companies like ArenimTel and Béker-Soft emphasized cultural alignment and growth opportunities as key reasons for joining Vesta,” said Petcu.
“Vesta is a great home for Béker-Soft, as they recognize both the value of our technology and our team’s commitment to continuous development. I know Béker-Soft will continue to grow and prosper under Vesta’s stewardship.”
“I am pleased to have found a partner who shares our values and is well-positioned to drive the company’s next phase of significant growth.”
“Having Jonas Europe on board is one of the best things that could have happened to us: their experience, resources, and unparalleled support give us the platform to take the company to an entirely new level.”
Jonas’s decentralized management model resonated strongly with these leaders, who sought a stable partner to protect their legacy and support continued growth. Each company will remain autonomous, while connecting to a broader community of peers within Jonas and Constellation Software.
This model allows businesses to maintain their identity while gaining access to global experience, operational expertise, and capital strength.
What Comes Next: Growing Together
For Jonas, an acquisition marks the beginning – not the end of a process. The companies joining Jonas in Hungary will continue to operate independently, led by their existing teams and guided by the same customer focus and culture that made them successful.
“We believe local leadership is what makes these businesses exceptional,” said Sorin Petcu. “Our role is to provide support, not direction – giving them the resources, confidence, and community to keep growing in their own way.”
Through Jonas’s worldwide portfolio, Hungarian teams now have the opportunity to collaborate with leaders from hundreds of other software companies. Whether it’s sharing market insights, solving operational challenges, or exchanging ideas for product development, each company benefits from a collective knowledge base that spans industries and geographies.

A Lasting Welcome
Jonas Software is proud to welcome Béker-Soft, Arenim Technologies, and Jegymester to the Jonas group and to mark the beginning of a long future in Hungary.
As Petcu summarized: “Hungary represents a key market within Central & Eastern Europe, offering access to niche, mission-critical software providers with strong local reputations.”
This milestone reflects Jonas’s belief that great software companies exist everywhere – and that, with the right acquirer, their legacy can continue for generations.
