Beginning in the May/June issue, Fanfare will be serializing John's memoir The Unknown Composer. This marks the first time the magazine has serialized a book in its 50+ year history, bringing John's story to its thousands of print and web subscribers.

Available April 28, 2026, John's memoir The Unknown Composer traces his inspiring journey of personal and artistic growth, from his origins as a child in an Italian institute to the culmination of his talents as a prolific composer.

On Friday, January 23, 2026, Pianists Mădălina Dănilă and Hugh Sung will feature one of John's works for piano four-hands as part of their 'America 250: A Four Handed Piano Celebration' concert series.

Carollo’s Passing On Ancient Skills for piano and orchestra was recorded by Anna Kislitsyna and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra for an upcoming release in late 2025.

Carollo’s We Will Never Witness Another of His Kind for cello and piano was released on the Navona Records album RESURGENCE. Performed by Ovidiu Marinescu and Noreen Cassidy-Polera. This work was premiered at Carnegie Hall on Sept. 28, 2024. Stream now on all platforms.

The PARMA Recordings compilation Pinnacle Vol. 2, featuring John's piece Piano Etude No. II "Sightless" won Silver in the Jan.  2022 Global Music Awards.
