Having grown up in the country, I love writing about small town romance and adventures. I’m always surprised at the situations from life that somehow slip into a story. Who would’ve guessed that hoof abscesses, frequently treated on my mare Taxi Dancer, would wind up in my first Amish novel? And the multiple yellow jackets that zapped me recently? I’ve got plans for those stings in an upcoming story. The prospect helped me through the aching and itching. Life is like that sometimes.
