Modern religion —Jesus came to save us from God through sin management. Be good, people…cultural shame and punishment will get you to heaven by apologizing for not having the mind or tools to do it.
Believe it or don’t believe it, it makes no difference when you don’t have the method, which christianity withholds from the public for power.
It is modern religions only option since it fails to provide meaningful methods, which in turn would cure the errant natures. It does however, operate a better game for human longevity, planning the long-form, endless game.
Science in its wisdom [sic] continues to develop for short term games that destroy the foundations of ecosystems and life; ie, spraying pesticides and herbicides, chemically castrating health measures, poisoning its participants for a short term game of patents and profits. Playing games that end when they maximize profit, vs playing games that go on forever.
Religion and philosophy tell us what we ought to do, like the game should go on forever, while science and technology move without a thought, of ought, or should—or ought not. Everyone knows AI is our doom, will consume every ounce of energy to maintain its own self importance. It will never admit it is wrong, and like science, never considers what we “ought not” do—like every technical achievement is progress.
The list is long and growing.of the short term game. Leaded gas, DDT, roundup, cell phones, social media, prognostics, etc. Now we are headed for another boondoggle that we claim will fix another problem and cause a host of others. All designed to reap profits over qualities. We are working towards the end of the game against our own better judgement. Not even religion would work so hard to do that.
