JFCS offers basic needs assistance to low-income families, seniors on fixed incomes, and individuals with disabilities.
JFCS relies on community partners and individual philanthropy to support our basic needs and emergency assistance program. JFCS provides support for basic needs such as food, clothing, and medical equipment as well as assistance with rent, utilities, transportation, and funeral expenses. Assistance varies and is based on need and availability of philanthropic and community resources. We focus on low-income single parent families, seniors on fixed incomes and individuals with disabilities.
JFCS provides:
- Food and Gas Gift Cards
- Toiletries and Personal Care Items
- Utility Assistance
- Rental Assistance for seniors and single-parent households
- Medical or Home Equipment for Holocaust survivors
- Nutritional Supplements such as Boost
