How Does an Engine Program Work?
Most engine programs are perpetual: a service contract that ensures ongoing engine maintenance through a planned and proactive approach. The program enables you to start accruing funds for future maintenance at the time of enrollment. In simple terms, an engine maintenance program can be thought of as a comprehensive ‘piggy bank’-reserve for future maintenance: including major scheduled events such as the engine hot-section or overhaul inspection, and unscheduled events such as foreign object damage (FOD) or squawks.
Flexible Enrollment Options
New aircraft enrollment
When enrolling a new aircraft, you get 100% coverage on day one.
When you enroll a new factory-delivered aircraft on a JSSI HCM program, you ensure 100% coverage on day one. With no maintenance history for the aircraft, the enrollment process is simple and straightforward. You start collecting funds for maintenance the first hour you fly.
Do I need a program if the aircraft is under warranty? Yes. Programs and warranties differ in what they cover and how they are structured. Warranties will help you in the event of an unexpected engine failure, and only covers you through the warranty term which is typically five years. HCM programs are complimentary to your warranty and can actively accrue funds for large maintenance events down the road.
In-service aircraft enrollment
When enrolling an in-service aircraft, you have two options.
Enroll with a straightforward upfront buy-in payment, calculated according to aircraft age and historic utilization, to guarantee 100% program coverage from the day of acquisition. This approach provides certainty, immediate protection, and peace of mind that all future qualifying maintenance events are covered under the program.
A unique option developed for customers looking for additional financial flexibility, the Pro-Rata program structure enables you to enroll an aircraft at any stage of its lifecycle without an upfront payment or buy-in. Maintenance reserves and coverage levels are built up over time as the cost of scheduled events are shared between you and JSSI.
Whichever coverage option you choose, unscheduled maintenance events within your chosen program are covered.
