07:55 am - Superbowl auto add review
The Audi commercial "Chase" was fantastic for car fans. The best part of course is the reaction to the Lexus ES. Watch it here.
The Hyundai commercials were OK. I was surprised that Toyota spent superbowl money to advertise the turd on wheels Venza.

Because so many companies have withdrawn from this years NAIAS, they have re-arranged things and have turned the basement into an electric case test track / indoor forest called the EcoXperience. I gotta see this for myself!

08:57 pm - Shocked at SkyMall
One the flight back from Tahoe, I found the most mindless item for sale. It's a hooded sweatshirt with words printed on the lining. They claim the printed words change the "structure of water" and since one's body is mostly water this will somehow benefit the wearer.
I was shocked because I could have never imagined something this ridiculous existing, yet alone being commercially produced!

08:41 am - taxation without representation
So for any friends in Durham, I shall express a personal political view: the Durham Food Tax is a very bad idea and should be voted against. Food taxes are a horribly regressive way to raise revenue! More info here.

11:09 pm - Microsoft giving away money it seems
I've discovered that MS is pimping their Live Search with a rebate program. In particular, one can get 30% rebate (up to $200) on a "buy it now" item purchased on eBay and paid w/ paypal. More info here and here.
