Every year in April, the jazzahead! FESTIVAL turns Bremen into the metropolis of jazz!

Programme

We organize a city-wide music programme around the world’s largest meeting place for the jazz scene.

TRADE FAIR

jazzahead! is is a trade fair, conference and showcase festival – with contemporary, high-profile jazz from Germany, Europe and overseas. From 23 to 25 April 2026, the jazz world will come together in Bremen to network, exchange ideas, attend conferences and panels, and experience 38 showcase concerts in the official programme during four days at jazzahead!

FESTIVAL

The jazzahead! FESTIVAL turns Bremen into the metropolis of jazz! Every year in April, the jazzahead! festival takes place parallel to the jazzahead! trade fair. Together with numerous cooperation partners, we organize a city-wide music programme around the world’s largest meeting place for the jazz scene.

Programme

jazzahead! 2026 kicks off with a Grand Opening on Wednesday, 22 April 2026, featuring an international gala showcasing music from the festival partner country Sweden. Stay tuned for more concerts, showcases and other events.

Since 2012, all measures to improve the networking of the German jazz scene in Germany and beyond have been taken under the label German Jazz Expo. In addition to the eight showcase concerts, this includes a central trade fair presence, the German Market.
