Journal security: Most posts are public. Teasers and previews of upcoming chapters, however, are friend-locked.

Friending Policy: Feel free to friend me and I will probably friend you back. Two things to keep in mind though. If you consistently post long posts, say long stories (500+ words) or pic spam posts and don't put them under an LJ Cut, I will take you off my F-List, simply because your long posts force me to scroll more than necessary when viewing my Friends page. I'll also take you off my Friends list if you insist on reposting all of your tweets for the day in a daily journal post - if I wanted to read your tweets I'd go read them on Twitter.
