Task Forces
IUNS Task Forces aim to tackle important nutrition-related issues that need collaboration among individuals or organisations from different parts of the world. Each Task Force should focus on a current or emerging issue in the nutrition field that is not getting enough attention or faces challenges that require joint efforts. The issues must be nutrition-related but may require expertise that goes beyond the field of nutrition.
Task Forces are selected before the start of each Council term, and their activities can last up to 4 years. Task Forces are eligible to receive funding up to $5,000 for the 4-year IUNS Council term. However, Task Forces are strongly urged to explore external funding opportunities to enhance their initiatives – IUNS funds ideally serve as seed funding to enable that. If required for ease of administration, external funding secured by Task Forces can be deposited into IUNS accounts, subject to administration fees. Details will be provided upon consultation.
After 4 years, Task Forces wishing to operate independently of IUNS can use the label of “former IUNS Task Force”, and if appropriate, can apply for Affiliated Body status with IUNS.
