I-CORE Research Guide: Home

How to use this guide

The I-CORE Research Guide is designed to help you progress through the research needed to complete your I-CORE project. Each page has suggested resources, tips, tutorials, and strategies that can help you as you work on each deliverable.

If you have questions please contact Madison, the business librarian, as she can clarify. She is available by phone and e-mail. You can also book a research consultation by clicking the "Schedule Appointment" button under her picture. If you schedule a research consultation please review the materials available through the guide prior to the meeting so that time can be optimized.

Feel free to email at any time if you need help.

Ways to get help

There are multiple ways to get help if you get stuck or have questions about your project.

Online help sessions

  • Madison will hold several sessions on Zoom (see dates and times below) that are designed to help you complete each deliverable. The sessions will be recorded and posted to Canvas.
    • Thursday, February 12th at 6-7 pm

    • Friday, February 13th at 11 am - 12 pm

    • Thursday, March 12th at 6-7 pm

    • Friday, March 13th at 11 am - 12 pm

    • Thursday, April 9th at 6-7 pm

    • Friday, April 10th at 11 am - 12 pm

Email

  • Click the "Email Me" button under Madison's profile.
  • In your email, please include your client company, your product and service description, and any information about where you have already searched, what keywords you have tried, and what you need help with.

Book an appointment

  • Click the "Schedule Appointment" button under Madison's profile to schedule an in-person or online appointment. Appointments are an opportunity to discuss research strategies and answer questions in more detail than via email.
  • You can meet with the librarian as a group or designate a "delegate" to ask questions about your project. Please make sure to coordinate with your group so that multiple group members are not scheduling independent meetings.

Chat

  • Madison is on chat Tuesdays from 9-11 am. The button under her profile will say "Online," and you can click it to start chatting

Advice: Don't wait until the last minute to reach out for help! Make sure to plan ahead and ask questions early (ie, before Friday afternoon for a deliverable due Sunday) so that the librarian has time to respond.
