The International Conference on Innovation and Transformation for Development 2025 (ITD 2025) concluded successfully at Green University of Bangladesh, bringing together national and international scholars, researchers, and industry professionals for two days of academic exchange and collaboration. The conference was led by General Chair Dr. Md. Arifuzzaman and Convener Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tareque Aziz, Dean of Green Business School & Faculty of Law, who played a central role in organizing and guiding the event.
The inaugural ceremony, held on 27 November at GUB’s Multipurpose Hall, was graced by Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shorif Uddin, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman, Registrar Captain (Navy) Shaikh Muhammad Salahuddin (TAS), NGP, psc (Retd.), special guest Professor Nakib M. Nasrullah, honourable VC of Islamic University, Kushtia, General Chair Dr. Md. Arifuzzaman and Convener Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tareque Aziz, Dean of Green Business School & Faculty of Law along with distinguished guests and faculty members. Throughout the conference, participants engaged in keynote sessions, academic paper presentations, and industry-focused discussions on sustainable development, digital transformation, entrepreneurship, and innovation-driven growth.
The Conference was successfully held as a two-day global platform showcasing cutting-edge research, technological innovation, and transformative development practices. The conference featured impactful keynote sessions by renowned scholars, policymakers, and industry experts, alongside multiple parallel academic sessions that encouraged active dialogue among faculty members, young researchers, and graduate students. A major highlight was the series of industry sessions led by corporate leaders and technology professionals, focusing on emerging trends, sectoral challenges, and academia–industry collaboration. With the participation of distinguished dignitaries from home and abroad, ITD 2025 strengthened international academic engagement and served as a significant forum for intellectual exchange, innovation-driven discussion, and cross-sectoral partnerships for sustainable development and transformation.
The virtual closing ceremony on 28 November featured reflections from the convener Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tareque Aziz and General Chair Dr. Md. Arifuzzaman, who highlighted the outcomes of ITD 2025 and future research priorities. Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shorif Uddin and Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed emphasized the importance of building a research-centric academic culture, while Chief Guest Justice Ahmed Sohel, Honorable Justice of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, shared insights on development and transformation in national contexts. ITD 2025 strengthened academic collaboration and reinforced GUB’s commitment to research excellence and global engagement.
