Alien: Isolation is a first-person horror game where you must try to escape from the claws (and the jaws) of the most dangerous alien life form in the universe: a xenomorph. The game, which was first released for consoles and PC in 2014, received this Android port seven years later, in 2021, remaining very faithful to the original release.
The Story of Amanda Ripley
The main character in Alien: Isolation is none other than Amanda Ripley, daughter of Ellen Ripley, the protagonist of the first four movies in the franchise. The video game takes place between the first and second movies, masterfully filling in some gaps in the story. It also very successfully maintains the entire aesthetic of the first few movies, plunging you into the saga's characteristic retrofuturism.
True horror
There are many horror games out there, especially on Android. But very few manage to be truly scary without resorting to constant jump scares. This isn't the case with Alien: Isolation. Thanks to the xenomorph's terrifying presence and artificial intelligence, the game has become one of the most celebrated survival horror games in history. It doesn't matter if you get some weapons throughout the adventure, direct confrontation with the alien is not an option: you can only hide.
My thoughts on Alien: Isolation
I played Alien: Isolation for the first time when it came out, back in 2014, and I thought it was one of the best horror games I had ever played. This Android adaptation manages to do the impossible: bring that incredible sense of dread to a mobile device. And all of this while maintaining the same outstanding visuals, adding all the DLCs, and offering touchscreen-exclusive control customization options.
The best and the worst of Alien: Isolation
• Alien: Isolation may be the best horror game available on Android operating systems. Period. There is no other title with these production values and care for the original material.
• The only downside to Alien: Isolation on Android is that, as you might expect, it requires a powerful device and consumes a lot of battery. But this is normal, considering the game.
Chapters 1 and 2 for free
What's important to keep in mind when playing Alien: Isolation is that the game is free to download, but only the first two chapters are free to play. Once you finish the second chapter, you'll have to pay if you want to keep playing. Luckily, a one-time payment will unlock the full game along with the seven DLCs, which is a real bargain.
In space, no one can hear you scream
Download the Alien: Isolation APK and discover a new dimension of horror for Android. This is an outstanding title featuring spectacular visuals, a story that will delight fans of the Alien saga, and, above all, terrifying gameplay that you'll remember for a long time to come.
