The spring anime season doesn't seem to be making too many waves so far, if ANN's review team is any indication.

However, there has been one title that seems to have stood out a little for me - at least if you like moe anime, and that series is K-ON!, the most recent addition from Kyoto Animation who has already brought us the likes of Air, Kanon, Clannad, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and Lucky Star.

Speaking of Haruhi... it looks like she's REALLY disappeared.

I present to you the light music club... K-ON!. Like Lucky Star, it's based on a 4-koma (4-panel) manga.

I was actually looking forward to this shoujo series. The character designs looked cute and it sounded like fun. Well...

No.



Here's the short of it:
Don't waste your time with this anime unless bad animation is a non-issue, because it LOOKS horrible. HORRIBLE. YOUR EYES WILL BLEED.

Dear Shugo Chara!,
Your Jacks need more love. I'm happy Kukai made the opening this round, but why must you insist that Kairi doesn't exist by leaving him out when you included minor characters? The samurai-lover in me weeps.

That's probably one muse I need to work with.

So, I'll have some anime reviews up soon. Some good... and some bad, I assure you. XD

This whole post is a walking spoiler. Don't read if you haven't finished Tales of the Abyss in some form. Unless you just don't care about spoiling the end for yourself.

I'm quickly coming to the conclusion that TV Specials and some OVAs are a complete waste of time. There is no exception for "La Corda d'oro ~secondo passo~" (also known as Kiniro no Corda), and if this is your first encounter with the series, you're probably going to pass over it completely.

So anyways, this weekend sums up a number of series I've been watching, so I'd like to do a final comment post for Clannad ~After Story~, Skip Beat!, and Tales of the Abyss. Gosh, I'm sure the SB one will turn into a rant fest about how horrible it is for ending in the middle of the Tsukigomori arc. And Shugo Chara! finally strays from filler, too, so, mini blog medley?

And in case you wanted to know my lineup for the spring season, it looks something like this so far:

+ Guin Saga
+ Tears to Tiara

I'll still be following Shugo Chara!! Doki also. Since it's finally gotten away from filler for a while.

I'm probably going to start reviewing these too, because I like them so much. XD
I'm waiting to get two, so maybe I can review one of them.

As a fan of the series, I think I can be both fair and critical at the same time. Shugo Chara! is an anime series based on the work of artistic duo Peach Pit (of Rozen Maiden and Zombie Loan fame).
