ISEC 2026: Shaping the Future of Sustainable Energy Systems
CONFERENCE FOR RENEWABLE HEATING AND COOLING IN INTEGRATED URBAN AND INDUSTRIAL ENERGY SYSTEMS
From 14–16 April 2026, ISEC 2026 brought the global energy community to Graz. Organized by AEE INTEC in cooperation with UNIDO and RHC-ETIP, the conference welcomed 550 participants from 42 countries - all working towards one goal: advancing the energy transition.
ISEC is more than a conference. It is where research, industry, and policy meet to turn ideas into action - especially in heating and cooling, a key pillar of decarbonization.
From Innovation to Implementation - Across 20 sessions and four workshops, participants explored:
District Heating and Cooling Building Transformation Industrial Waste Heat Energy Storage & Digitalization Cross-sector energy systems & carbon management
A strong practical focus ensured one thing above all: real solutions for real-world challenges.
Global Dialogue, Real Impact - ISEC stands for direct exchange between science, industry, and policy—helping translate innovation into implementation.
A highlight was the keynote dinner speech by Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella, who underscored the importance of global cooperation, fair value chains, and shared responsibility in driving the energy transition.
Looking Ahead - ISEC 2026 confirmed the power of international collaboration in shaping future energy systems. Next stop: ISEC 2028.
Conference proceedings and presentations will be available soon. Full paper publication (with TIB Open Publishing): by end of May.
We look forward to continuing the dialogue at ISEC 2028!
