IRO Singapore was formed in 1949 by a handful of religious stalwarts, steadfast on achieving camaraderie amongst the religious communities and harmony across inter-faith. Religious harmony is unique in Singapore and forms the fundamental social ‘DNA’ ensuring a beautiful tapestry without any fear of persecution, condemnation or contempt of any single faith. In tandem with the government’s backing, IRO strives to ensure the peace continues to prevail through workshops, engagement and various activities and stands as hallmark to peace, regardless of race, ethnicity and religion.
