IP Cam Viewer (IPC) Remote Control provides an easy user interface to access the API being developed and made available for the IP Cam Viewer app by Robert Chou. Versions of that app from 5.3.7 have an embedded web server that can allow you to control features and views of that app on a running device. This app currently provides access to the following API's (more to come soon):
• Record Mode - Enable/Disable Motion Detection
• Camera DB - List All/Enabled Cameras, Get Camera Info, Enable/Disable, Rename, and Delete
• Gallery View - Select Camera
• Groups - List Groups, Recall Groups
• App State - Current Visible Screen, Goto Screen
• Matrix View - Mass Action (Lights, Motion) On/Off
This app also provides the easy to use plug-in interface for Tasker users to automatically control the following settings (more to come):
• Record Mode - Enable/Disable Motion Detection
• Camera DB - Enable/Disable, Rename, Delete
• Gallery View - Select Camera
• Groups - Recall Groups
• App State - Goto Screen
• Matrix View - Mass Action (Lights, Motion) On/Off
The graphical remote control included in this app has no limitations and is completely free to use! The Tasker actions are limited to 30 actions per month to a single host (IP Cam Viewer instance). The host can be changed anytime in the settings. Unlimited access to any number of hosts is available through an in-app purchase.
Over the upcoming versions, this app will make available as much of the web server API as possible (and as made available) both through Tasker and the on-screen Remote Control. The app will also be featuring more user-friendly remote control graphics in upcoming versions.
