Permissions for Danny's Abilities

As a half ghost Danny has a number of abilities such as intangibility, invisibility, and flight.  Of these, only two need permissions.  

Can Danny detect your ghost character through his ghost sense?  Canonly, Danny can sense the presence of other ghosts when they are nearby.  

If necessary, can Danny overshadow your character? Danny is unlikely to do this unless he can't think of any other way to get out of a situation, but he does have that ability.

[When the video post comes on today, most of the people who know Danny Fenton would expect the same teenage boy to appear.  But today, a very different face who has no relation to Danny Fenton at all is using the communicator.  It is a rather apologetic looking white haired boy of about Danny's age who appears to be glowing faintly even in the daylight.  Nothing of his location can be seen apart from the sky.]

I think I owe everyone a apology.  For those of you who don't know me, I'm Danny Phantom.  Yes, I'm a ghost.  And no, I'm not evil.  I've been around the city for a while, but I don't have a communicator.  Actually, I'm posting this on a communicator I borrowed from some kid.  I'll give it back before he realizes its gone.

....Speaking of which, you should totally get to  know him.  He seems cool.

Anyway, all that ice?  I'm pretty sure it was my fault.  I still don't really understand what happened, but I can't remember much of last week except ice and cold.  I think I might have developed a new power.  But I can't control it very well.

...And that's the last thing.  I'm leaving the city for a while.  Until I'm sure I won't be freezing anyone else.  Try not to destroy things too much while I'm gone?

[ooc:And there's the end of the ice plot.  Replies to this post will be tagged with either Danny Fenton or Danny Phantom, depending on how long after the post they are made.  Yes, this is the first time Phantom has revealed himself to the entire city.  And he is still trying to keep Fenton and Phantom separate.  After this post he will be taking off for the forest to train himself in his new powers.  Feel free to intercept him with an action tag or backtag on his waking up log.]

[At first the only thing visible in the feed is a huge pile of blankets. After a moment Danny pokes his head out and glares blearily at the communicator, visibly shivering.    He attempts to speak through chattering teeth.]

W-why is it so cold here all of a s-sudden?   Isn't it s-supposed to be s-summer?

[He pulls the blankets back over his head again, not noticing the thin tracery of ice starting to form where his fingers had just touched.]



[ooc: Event start, details here.  ]

[The video clicks on with a thump, as the communicator falls out of Danny's limp hand.  The teen's whole posture seems to be slumped with absolute exhaustion.  Rubbing his eyes sleepily, the teen walks across the room. 

...And right into the wall next to the door.]


Oh.  Right.  Wall.

[He backs up and walks through the actual door into his bedroom and crashes onto his bed in absolute exhaustion.  He starts mumbling into his pillow.]

I so need a vacation.

Seems like everyone is disappearing this week.

[Danny sighs heavily and doesn't say anything for a long moment.]

Jazz is gone.  So are Leo and Mikey. 

Sam?  Please tell me you're still here.

Hey, Jazz?  Sounds like I'm going to be a little late getting home. I-

[Danny suddenly cuts off his sentence as shouting can be heard in the background.  There is a clattering sound as he drops his communicator and then the sound of running footsteps.]

Hey!  What do you think you're doing!

Are you interfering with police business?

Yes!  I'm not going to let you hurt that kid!

[And then there is the sound of a short struggle followed by a single gunshot.]

[One day into his Jazz enforced vacation, and Danny was already going crazy with boredom.  He reaches out for his communicator and fiddles with it for a moment.]

Someone, entertain me.  Please.  I think I'm going crazy here

[He rolls his eyes, and then freezes as his gaze passes over two objects lying in the corner of the room.]

Wait, is that...  How did those get here?

J-jazz?  Sam?  Can anyone-

[Danny cuts off his sentence with a hiss and there is silence for  a few seconds.  At last he speaks up again in a strained voice.]

I-

I don't think I can make it back to the apartment.

[Danny had at long last decided to take the advice of... pretty much everyone who knew his secret and decided to take a night off to relax.  And what does a ghost boy do for stress relief? He inflicts his sense of humor on everyone he can catch.]

Ice day, isn't it?  Everyone out of the doldrums?  I suppose even a no-wind situation can occasionally give us a break.  Who'd have thawed it?

[Danny is looking rather panicked today.  Not to mention more than a little freaked.  But what else do you expect when an old woman he's never met before suddenly calls him 'ghost boy'.  And a lot of other gibberish.  But the ghost boy part is kind of sticking out.]

She knows! Somebody knows!  And she won't say how she found out!

[Danny's gaze flickers nervously all around the room, barely staying on the communicator for more than a few seconds at a time.]

Am I going crazy again?  Please tell me I'm not going crazy.

Has anyone seen Mom recently?

[Danny sits on his bed tightly holding a cloth to his shoulder and trying to clean the salt out of his shoulder.  He'd made it back to his room. Eventually.  Who knew getting shot with salt would hurt this much?  He just lies there for a moment, breathing harshly and clutching his shoulder, before he forces himself to reach for his communicator. 

This sucked.  He just knew anyone he asked for help would freak out.  But of course he just had to get shot in a spot he couldn't bandage on his own.]

Apparently someone thinks they're a comedian.  Anyone else get a lump of coal in the Christmas bribe from the scientists?

We've got trouble.   Vampire trouble.  One of them attacked a kid and tried to scare him into not telling anyone.
