We’ve been hard at work this month bringing new power to your streaming workflow. Here are the latest improvements across our platform:

Streaming

• We’ve added an option to show your most recent (past) broadcast on your embed in between live broadcasts.
• Fixed an issue where cancelled media uploads would still appear in your library.

OTT Apps

• We officially launched OTT Analytics. You can now track performance and engagement across all your dedicated apps.
• Note on tvOS & Roku Data: Viewership data for tvOS and Roku apps was not being collected prior to March 17, 2026. Data for these platforms will begin appearing in your dashboard moving forward from this date.

Spark

• Spark can now act as a client for Mixing Station Anywhere.
• We’ve adjusted the white LED brightness on Spark encoders to improve thermal management and reduce power consumption.
• This update includes several UI and UX bug fixes to make the Spark interface smoother and more intuitive.

Mixing Station Anywhere

• A new shortcut has been added to the profile menu that links directly to the section of the platform where you can manage your users.
• Fixed an issue where video previews were blocked when "autoplay" was disabled in your browser.
• Improved the linking process for Mixing Station accounts to ensure a smoother setup for inactive or newly reopened accounts.
• You can now initiate updates for your Mixing Station Agent directly from the MSA dashboard.
• Monitor your audio more precisely with the newly implemented stereo level meters.
• We’ve fixed a bug with the X-Touch clip light and updated the support links within the dashboard for better troubleshooting.
• In the event of a major mixer update, the system can now ensure your agent stays compatible by prompting required updates.

Streaming

• Precision Trimming: Now featuring audio waveforms so you can see exactly where to start and end your clips.
• Streamlined Spark Controls: We’ve moved Spark controls directly to the broadcast details page for quicker access.
• API Access for Everyone: You can now add API access to any plan, giving you more flexibility to integrate your workflow.
• Better Previews: Enjoy a smoother, more intuitive experience when checking your video and audio before going live.
• Spark Encoder Enhancements: We’ve updated the Spark encoder for improved performance and reliability.

Mixing Station Anywhere

• New Hardware Support: We’ve added support for the TouchMix compressor.
• Fresh Look: RemoteMix is now Mixing Station Web—same great tool, new name!
• Channel Processing for Yamaha: We’ve removed Yamaha channel processing temporarily to comply with Yamaha's policies.

OTT Apps

• Performance Boosts: We’ve cleared out several bugs to ensure a smoother experience.
• Update Reminders: Look for a new banner notification to let you know when it’s time to update your apps.
• Featured Live Content: Live broadcasts are now front-and-center in the featured carousel.
• Easier Onboarding: A redesigned welcome page makes it simpler than ever for new users to get started.
• New Browsing Layout: Explore content more easily with new category-based rows.
• Simplified Organization: We’ve renamed "Collections" to Packages.
• Clutter-Free Pages: We’ve removed category filters to provide a cleaner, more focused experience.

This week we launched our last update until January. Here's what it included:

New Improvements

• Simplified Broadcast Setup: We have updated the interface for RTMP and SRT broadcasts. To ensure the best streaming quality and reduce setup confusion, the system will now automatically select the optimal transcode profile for you.
• M4 Mac Compatibility: We have released an update for the RemoteMix Software Agent (RMSA) to ensure full compatibility with the new M4 Macs.

Bug Fixes

• OTT Custom Page Management: We resolved an issue where clicking the edit icon on page rows would occasionally trigger an error drawer.
• Audience Navigation: Fixed a bug in the OTT Admin panel that prevented audience pagination from functioning correctly.

This week our team squashed a few bugs in the OTT Dashboard:

• Fixed an issue where broadcasts changed from public to private, or deleted broadcasts, would sometimes persist in OTT apps.
• Resolved a bug where the integration would occasionally disconnect.
• Fixed an issue where tvOS video/event duration was not displaying correctly in the carousel (Please note: This fix requires an app update, and the bug will persist for customers until they update their app).
• Solved a problem where changing gate settings on a category was not saving correctly.

We also performed a cleanup and optimization of the event and video tables to make them more intuitive and easier to use.

This week we made a number of improvements to the OTT platform:

• Made OTT admin sites not searchable in google
• Fixed a bug that caused the customer page banner to not appear
• Fixed a bug that prevented bundles from being removed

And we also added an SRT option for the Larix Broadcaster app.

This week our OTT Apps team was hard at work releasing new improvements:

New Features

• The platform will now automatically create OTT Categories for all BoxCast Streaming Channels
• Livestreams scheduled for far in the future will no longer clutter up rows other than Live and Upcoming

Bugs

• Fixed a bug where Android video player could not be exited by hitting the X button
• Fixed a bug where hitting the back button on mobile would close the app
• Fixed a bug where pages with many rows would have the banner image appearing at the bottom of the page
• Fixed a bug where the Watch button was sometimes leading viewers to the wrong video
• Improved tvOS and Roku viewer sign-in for registration-gated content to bring users back to the content they were trying to watch (getting this fix will require rebuilding your smart TV app)

We've got an exciting new update to our OTT Apps product- you can now build your own mobile, AppleTV, and Roku apps from start to finish right inside the OTT Dashboard.

We have support articles walking you through how to build the apps, submit them for approval, and push them live in each app store. If you're interested in adding this feature to your plan, reach out in the chat!

Some other updates we pushed this week include:

• Custom domain management added to the OTT Dashboard
• Fixed a bug where Simulated Live broadcasts were displaying with a date of 9999

• Mixer-specific implementations of Pre/Post Fader for RTA
• Mixer-specific password handling
• Change connection ID to connection name in the connection modal

The last two weeks our team has been busy making small upgrades and fixing a few bugs for OTT and RemoteMix. Here's some of what's been released:

RemoteMix

• Fixed a bug where a user downgrading to the Free plan might erroneously see a "issue with payment" banner.
• Fixed an issue on RemoteMix signup page that limited ability to scroll and see all page text on non-fullscreen windows or mobile devices.

OTT

• Released a feature to allow users to set up subscriptions with custom durations.
• Lazy loading released for custom pages in web app (homepage already lazy loads).
• Fixed an issue preventing reporting on subscription data.
• Fixed some remaining thumbnail issues.
