Intel Trusted Execution Engine (Intel TXE) by Intel Corporation is a low-level system component and driver that provides a secure execution environment on select Intel system-on-chip platforms. It enables hardware-backed security capabilities such as Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT)—a firmware-based TPM 2.0—secure key storage, and platform attestation that can be used by features like BitLocker and enterprise credential protection. The Intel Trusted Execution Engine Interface driver allows the operating system to communicate with the TXE hardware.
This component runs silently in the background and has no end-user interface. For best stability and compatibility, install the version supplied by your PC or motherboard manufacturer. Removing or disabling it may affect TPM-dependent features.
