Intel AppUp (SM) center was Intel’s official app store and software management client for Windows-based netbooks and Ultrabooks, with early support for MeeGo. Through the AppUp client, users could discover, purchase, download, and update a catalog of free and paid applications across categories such as games, productivity, education, and utilities. Notable features included try-before-you-buy options, automatic updates, and account-based licensing that preserved purchase history and enabled reinstallation. The platform also supported developers with distribution and monetization tools for apps optimized for Intel Atom–based devices. Intel discontinued the Intel AppUp (SM) center in 2014, and the service and client are no longer supported.
