More cacti, part of the same cacti phase I was on in my last post. Used to practice brushwork.

From my sketch book way back in May. Yes I need to post more often XD. There’s more cacti yet to come, I had a mini phase on them. When I visit the zoo and the weathers cool I go pop into the greenhouse to see their collection. Emphasis on cool weather, it gets smoking hot in there on warm days.
Here are the fabulous results of a collab with the talented ShadowHawkDragon. Who has taken my original rough sketches and brought out the true battler that lies in them all.
*Dramatic pause for refeshments*
So here are the stills and for the animations please visit ShadowHawkDragon’s thread Shades of Battler.

The Easter Bunnies evil twin. The Creapster Bunny.

Hit this guy with a lawnmower and your ears’ll be bleeding from his screams.

Last frog standing on karaoke night. Singing “Poison” with a vengeance.

Not mush-room in here. The rooms been blown to smithereens.

A Sketchbook page of crows drawn from reference, as well as blossom and elephants drawn from life
A spread over two days. The crows were drawn from photographs I’d already taken a few days earlier. The Hawthorne blossom I spotted out on a walk. And the elephants were finally out in the open where I could see them front end on at Chester Zoo from the viewing area outside of the ticket gates. The elephant with his mouth open was having a good old munch on something.
Seeing more bum ends of animals than front ends has been a running joke with FluffyRed recently. Hopefully we’ll even out on the front end sightings soon.

A selection of cacti
A post from my sketchbook after a long desert of silence. The greenhouses at the back of Chester Zoo have a small selection of fabulous Cacti. They stuck in my head and came back out on the page a few days later.
I’m currently in the process of building this site. Pop along every now and then to see how its going.
