I made this app for myself as the normal reminder apps just allowed me to ignore the reminders. This app really doesn't let you ignore them, it'll annoy you every minute until you deal with the reminder! I figured other people might be like me too so here it is! Dealing with the reminder might be stopping it as you've taken care of the task, or snoozing it as now might not be the best time. Your reminders can be recurring, every day of the week, or select days of the week or even monthly. Use Insistent as a reminder for anything that you can't afford to forget; taking a pill, paying a bill, doing a chore, calling your dearest mother, you name it! This app could be useful for those with ADHD where things out of sight are quickly forgotten. Word of caution though, don't let the app rule your life and bombard you with reminders throughout the day as that could end up making things worse!

Version History Eileen reached out to me with some suggestions and issues. Some of which are in this release: - The silent sound type was actually playing the default sound (not any more!) - She wanted to have the ability to set reminders at one minute intervals rather than five minute intervals (something I wanted too) so that's now possible with the "settings" button next to the date/time pickers Some other miscellaneous things: - 30 minute snooze option added to the notifications - Some slight visual improvements - Some other little bug fixes 1.6.1 Feb 1 - Date-sorted reminders are collected together into similar periods, such as today, tomorrow, next week, next month etc. - Hopefully a fix for some reported hang issues 1.6.0 12/23/2024 New: - The snooze screen now has a calendar-style date picker (as well as the existing quick scroll one) for easier snoozing to dates further in the future Fixed: - The "rate app" option now takes you to the app rating screen in the App Store rather than a largely blank page 1.5.0 05/13/2023 - Fixed a bug reported by Vicki where the 24-Hour Time setting of the device was being ignored for some users - Notifications are now marked as time-sensitive 1.4.2 04/11/2022 Thanks to some feedback from Vicki I've rework the snooze screen to make it quicker to snooze within the same day. Big update to be compatible for iOS 10, it's been a bit of a pain and apologies for the delay but it's here now! And a number of issues, such as duplicated notifications, should be resolved thanks to it! Unlimited reminders! Did you ever get told you had too many? Not anymore! There is an OS limit of 64 scheduled notifications at once so you may get a notification saying you need to open the app for future notifications to trigger but that won't show up for you unless you have lots of notifications going off at once and ignore them for a while! Snuck in a silent option for a reminder's sound, at the bottom of the list. Could be useful to some people, right? I dunno... sounds like it could be useful... now you can... again... 1.2.2 07/31/2015 Someone* neglected to test v1.2 on iOS 7**, which thoroughly broke the app... That person has been suitably punished***. Here's me truly hoping this hasn't made any of your lives worse due to probably not being able to stop your notifications going off.... I've been focussing on other apps! I'm totally not finished with this app though so it will never get forgotten for too long! Thanks to Péter you now have a monthly reminder option and thanks to Caren there's a new longer and louder sound option in the form of a train whistle! You can also edit a reminder's title once it's been created, which is nice! I've also thrown in support for snoozing or stopping a reminder right from the notification (on iOS 8), which is great for people who know you can swipe a notification (down on a banner, left on the lock screen) to access some actions. Also really good for Apple Watch owners as you'll be able to snooze or stop reminders without getting your phone out! And obviously lots of other little updates and fixes! 1.2 07/08/2015 Fixed missing icons on iPad 1.1.1 11/20/2014 Updated to iOS 8 whilst still providing support for iOS 7.
