What is Innovation Hacks 2.0?

Innovation Hacks 2.0 is ASU's largest spring hackathon, hosted by The AI Society at ASU, Google Developer Group @ ASU, and the Software Developers Association. Over 48 hours, 450+ students will compete across sponsor tracks in AI, healthcare, financial wellness, and sustainability.

You may only compete in your assigned track. Submissions must clearly address that track’s problem statement. All participants remain eligible for MLH categories and prizes.

Requirements

Submission Requirements & Deadline Submission Requirements (Mandatory for Judging)

To qualify for judging, your Devpost submission must include:

  • A clear and concise project write-up explaining what you built and why
  • A public GitHub repository that includes:
    • All source code
    • A well-written README.md
    • A .env template if applicable (variables only, no secrets)
    • A visible commit history demonstrating development during the hackathon
    • Repository pushed before the deadline
    • Zip submissions will NOT be accepted
  • A demo video (maximum 5 minutes)
  • A fully functional project that can be demonstrated during live judging
  • All team members registered individually on Devpost and added before the deadline
  • Team size must be 2 to 4 members
  • Submission only to your assigned track and any MLH categories you opt into
