Dates
The hackathon will last for 1 month, starting on January 26, 2023 and ending on February 26, 2023.
Eligibility
The Innovative Automation Online Hackathon 2023 is open to individuals who are at least 18 years of age. Participants under the age of 18 may participate with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Official Rules
Participation: Participants may work individually or as part of a team of up to 4 members. Teams must register together and each team member must accept these official rules.
Submission Requirements: All submissions must be original and created solely by the participant or team during the hackathon. The solution must also be relevant to the theme of automation. Participants must provide a working demo or proof of concept and a brief description of their solution.
Intellectual Property: Participants retain all intellectual property rights in their submissions. However, by submitting, participants grant the hackathon organizers a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify, display, distribute and sublicense the submission for the purpose of promoting the hackathon.
Code of Conduct: Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner towards all other participants, sponsors, and organizers. Any participant found to be engaging in behavior that is deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or in violation of these official rules may be disqualified at the discretion of the organizers.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the winning solutions as determined by a judge. The organizers reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value.
Liability: Participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the hackathon organizers, sponsors, and their respective affiliates, employees, officers, agents, and assigns from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from their participation in the hackathon.
Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from the hackathon will be resolved by arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
Changes to Rules: The organizers reserve the right to modify these official rules at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on the hackathon website.
Project and Submission Requirements
1. All submissions must be original work, and cannot have been previously published or submitted to another hackathon
2. All submissions must be in English
3. All participants must submit their final project by the deadline in order to be eligible for prizes
4. All submissions must include the fully functional application, along with the 2-minute video demonstration as described in the "What to Submit" section
5. Participants should also include a short summary of the application and the task it automates
6. Submissions should contain a link to a GitHub repository with a rich commit history

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
1. Originality and creativity of the solution (30%)
2. Functionality and usability of the application (20%)
3. Efficiency and effectiveness of the automation feature (50%)
