Logo design.

I’m a freelance logo designer in Eastbourne, Sussex, creating distinctive, professional branding that lasts – helping your business stand out, build trust, and be taken seriously from day one.

Logo design that gives your business a clear, confident identity

Every logo I design works hard for your business – making it memorable, building credibility, & giving you a competitive edge. I combine strategy, creativity, & over 20 years of proven expertise to craft a visual identity that works now – & keeps working for years to come.

Your logo is an investment, not an expense.

Like your tools, your equipment, or your workspace, it’s the outlay that brings customers through the door in the first place.

A great logo gives confidence. It tells your customers you care about your business, that you’re serious, credible, and worth their time. A weak one does the opposite. And whether we like it or not, the amount you’re willing to invest in your logo reflects the value you place on your business. If you don’t value it, why should anyone else?

When you work with me, you’re not just paying for a nice-looking mark. You’re investing in:

  • Clarity – a design that communicates who you are at a glance.
  • Versatility – a logo that works everywhere: print, web, social, signage.
  • Recognition – something people actually remember, not forget five seconds later.
  • Professionalism – a polished identity that raises your credibility instantly.

If you’re serious about your business, show it. Start with a logo that makes people take notice.

Logo design & brand elevation.

Elevation.

Your logo is often the first contact people will have with your business – so it needs to feel professional, confident, & instantly credible.

Simple & memorable logo and branding design

Clarity.

A clean, simple logo is easier to remember – helping your business stay in front of customers minds & stand out in a crowded cluttered market.

Brand design consistency

Consistency.

Brand consistency across your website, brochures, & marketing creates trust & makes your business feel established and reliable.

Brand guidelines included

Guidance.

A clear brand guide keeps your look consistent – helping you stay in control across every platform & customer touchpoint.

Your company logo matters more than you think.

Your company logo is likely the first impression people have of your business – & first impressions count. It’s more than just a symbol; it’s a visual handshake, a reflection of your values, and a signal of quality.

It appears on your products, website, social media, & marketing – but more importantly, it stays in the minds of your customers. A well-crafted logo communicates professionalism, pride, & purpose long before you ever speak to a client.

While your marketing may evolve, your logo will be with you for the long haul. That’s why it’s essential to get it right from the start – with a design that lasts and clearly communicates your quality.

A great logo doesn’t need to be complicated – just smart. Clear typography, a confident colour scheme, and a bold graphic element might be all it takes – but the value it brings in recognition, trust, & long-term growth far outweighs the design cost.

So, if you’re looking for a new logo or brand identity answer a few simple questions and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

What types of logo design are there?

There are, broadly speaking, five main categories that logos fall into: lettermarks, wordmarks, pictorial marks, and combination marks. Here are just a few examples, most being instantly recognisable.

Wordmark logo examples

A Wordmark – A font-based logo that focuses on a business’ name alone.

Lettermark logo examples

A Lettermark – A typography-based logo that’s comprised of a few letters, usually a company’s initials. The lettermark is all about simplicity.

A Brandmark – (Sometimes called a pictorial-mark or logo symbol) is an icon—or graphic-based design.

Combination logo examples

A Combination logo – A logo comprised of a combined wordmark or lettermark and a pictorial mark.

Emblem logo examples

An Emblem logo – Consisting of a font inside a symbol or an icon; think badges, seals and crests.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about logo design? Here are some of the most common things clients ask before getting started.

Every logo I create is completely bespoke — designed from the ground up to represent your business. You’ll receive a suite of industry-standard files, including vector formats (EPS, PDF) and web-ready versions (SVG, PNG, JPG).

In short: everything you’ll ever need, whether you’re printing a billboard or updating your social media avatar.

Absolutely. I supply your logo in full colour as well as mono & reversed versions as standard. If your brand needs additional variations — such as simplified or small-scale versions — I can create those too, ensuring your identity works everywhere from embroidery to mobile screens without losing clarity.

Yes. Once your logo is complete and paid for, you have full, unrestricted rights to use it across your business – no licensing fees, no limitations, no hidden catches. I retain the underlying copyright (as is standard for designers), but you’re free to use the logo however & wherever you need.

If you require full IP ownership, I can assign the rights to you – this just needs to be agreed before the project begins so everything’s covered from the outset.

Yes – in fact, that’s where a logo really starts to shine. I also offer full brand identity development, including colour palettes, typography, visual styles, brand guidelines, and supporting assets.

If you’re ready for the full package, take a look at my Brand Design – Building Brands That Work page.

Typically between 1–3 weeks, depending on how many concepts we explore and how fast feedback comes in. I don’t rush strategy or craft — a logo has to work beautifully for years, not just look good on day one.

Rather than throwing 12 half-baked ideas at you, I focus on a small number of strong, strategic concepts. Each one carefully developed & refined, we’re working with quality, not quantity.

Once you choose a direction, we refine it until it’s spot-on.

Of course. If your brand just needs a tidy-up — better typography, more balance, updated colours, or a modernised mark — I can refresh it without losing what people already recognise.

Yes – and you’ll definitely want them. Brand guidelines keep your logo looking consistent across print, digital, signage, clothing, and anywhere else your brand appears.

I include a simple logo/brand guide as standard, covering colours, typefaces, and basic usage. If you need a more in-depth set of brand guidelines, I can create a fuller document on request.

Absolutely. Business cards, stationery, brochures, social media graphics, website design — the whole lot. Being a freelance designer means you get one point of contact & one consistent style across all your marketing literature.

No problem. If you’re still early in the process, I can help with brand positioning, tone-of-voice guidance, and naming assistance. Good branding isn’t just visual — it’s how your business sounds, behaves, & communicates.

Yes. While I’m based in Eastbourne, I provide professional logo design and brand identity services to businesses across East Sussex, West Sussex and the wider South East. Whether you’re launching a new business or refreshing an existing brand, I work with clients throughout Sussex and beyond.

I’ve known Lee for years and asked him to design my website nearly 14 years ago. I’m still complimented on it. Lee occasionally updates and amends it when necessary. He’s always available and works quickly on whatever is needed. He’s a fantastic graphic designer, which gives his websites an edge. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.
