APPOINTMENTS

Booking:

Call the clinic at 250-362-7333 or head to our online booking site: https://infinityphysio.janeapp.com/

Cancellation Policy:

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. As such, we require 24 hours notice for cancellations or changes to your appointment. Appointments cancelled within 24 hours will be charged a late cancellation fee. Missed appointments will be charged at full value of the scheduled appointment.

REFERRALS

Referrals:

You do not require a physician’s referral to make a physiotherapy, massage therapy, or chiropractic appointment. Some extended health plans that offer coverage for these treatment services require a physician’s referral in order to receive re-imbursement for service fees.

Imaging:

If you’ve had imaging and your therapist decides they’d like to see it, with your consent we have a process to collect imaging reports from your primary care provider. You do not have to have had imaging before booking an initial assessment. Our therapists can’t prescribe imaging.

Operative Reports and Protocols:

If you’ve had surgery and were give a protocol for your rehab then please bring it to your initial assessment. We may also ask you for an operative report or collect one from your primary care provider.

PHYSIOTHERAPY

Duration:

Expect either a 45 or 60 minute Initial Physiotherapy Assessment visit depending on the physio type (Concussion, Vestibular, and Pelvic Floor) and the treating therapist.  Subsequent visits will vary between 30-45 minutes, however longer treatment times are available at the recommendation of your therapist.

Appropriate clothing:

Please come dressed in clothing you can exercise in. Shorts are preferred for lower back and lower extremity issues. We will ask you to remove your shoes for your treatment.

MASSAGE THERAPY

Duration:

Our RMTs prefer at minimal a 60 minute treatment session to accommodate all the areas that need to be addressed. Some of our RMTs offer longer treatment sessions. Shorter visits can be accommodated but please contact the clinic to book.  A typical treatment session includes time to change, assessment, massage, reassessment and remedial exercises.

Chiropractic

Duration:

You may book a 45 or 60 minute initial assessment and subsequent visits can range from 30 to 60 minutes. A typical first visit will include assessment, education about your diagnosis, hands on treatment and home care exercises.

Appropriate clothing:

Please come dressed in clothing you can exercise in. Shorts are preferred for lower back and lower extremity issues. We will ask you to remove your shoes for your treatment. But for Running Gait Analysis please bring the shoes you run in.

EXTENDED HEALTH CARE PLANS

Most extended health plans have coverage for physiotherapy, massage therapy and chiropractic services. Coverage percentages and amounts vary by plan. Our clinic administration will not know the details or your plan so it is best to contact your plan’s provider to find out the details of your plan. The clinic’s administration will be able to directly bill to your plan and receive an immediate adjudication of coverage for that day’s treatment only.

DIRECT BILLING

We offer courtesy direct billing for many major extended health care providers including but not limited to Pacific Blue Cross, Manulife, GreenShield, Sunlife, and Canada Life. Please familiarize and bring your Policy/Group/Plan and Member ID/Claim/Employee numbers with you to your session. You may also provide those numbers in the intake form that will be emailed to you in advance of your scheduled appointment.

PROVINCIAL HEALTH PROGRAM (MSP):

Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy and Chiropractic services are not covered under BC Provincial health care. However, if you are under a certain income level the government will cover 10 visits per year to approved health care providers under the Medical Services Plan (MSP). With your personal health number you can call 1-800-663-7867 to determine your eligibility and or enroll if you need to. Infinity charges a user fee in addition to the coverage provided by MSP.

WorkSafeBC and ICBC Claims:

If you are an injured worker with a claim through WorkSafeBC, please call the clinic to book your appointment and have your claim number, injury date, and personal health number ready. We will email you an intake form to gather employment information required for billing and reporting to WorkSafeBC. Only some of our physiotherapists treat injured workers. Our RMTs and our Chiropractor do not treat WorkSafeBC clients.

If you’ve been in a MVA and have a claim through ICBC, please call the clinic to book your appointment and have your claim number and accident ready. Only some of our physiotherapists treat people with ICBC claims. Our RMTS and our Chiropractor do not treat people with ICBC claims.
