Version History New tool: Bring to Front / Send to Back. A new pen sits in the PencilKit palette right after the Eraser. It doesn't draw — dragging across strokes pushes them to the top (Bring to Front) or bottom (Send to Back) of the z-order. Each stroke moves at most once per drag; the whole drag is one Undo entry. Tap the pen a second time to switch between the two modes; the badge on the pen swaps to match. Side Panel — the toolbar's old Lines & Grids button is now a generic Side Panel button. Its icon mirrors which edge the panel docks to. The header has a menu that switches between Lines & Grids and the new Images subpanel; your last choice is remembered until you reopen the document. New: Images panel. Lists the rect-selected placed images on the canvas. Each row has a thumbnail, a pin button, and an opacity slider with a percent field. Drag rows to reorder the front-to-back stack within their layer. Pin to send an image to a separate background layer — pinned images always render behind any non-pinned image, regardless of list order, while z-order is preserved among pinned and among non-pinned independently. Pinned images can still be rect-selected, but they stay put when the rest of the selection is moved, transformed, or deleted — release them with "Unpin selected images" in the rect-select menu. 1.18 May 11 Lines & Grids — redesigned. On iPad the panel now docks to the side of the canvas instead of taking over the screen, so you can tweak grid settings while you draw. New: Pick origin from canvas. Tap a grid's scope icon, then tap a point on the canvas — that point becomes a grid intersection, and the anchor is preserved as you change rotation, spacing, or grid type. New: Isometric grid — a 60° triangular lattice for axonometric work. New: per-grid Rotation°. Each grid rotates independently, and Offset X / Y read in the grid's local rotated frame so typing values feels natural at any angle. Per-grid Enable snap and Visible toggles let you mix grids more freely. Swipe right on a row to duplicate it, swipe left to delete, long-press to drag and reorder — the new order also restacks the grids on the canvas. Stroke width edits now preserve pen pressure — width changes no longer flatten the pressure profile. Adjustable snap threshold — tune it in iOS Settings → InfinitySketch (default 50pt). 1.17 May 4 Removed Apple's Document Picker GUI and replaced it with a custom solution. This fixes occasional crashes when closing documents! 1.16 12/23/2025 Bugfix: Undo operations affecting images are now stored correctly. 1.15 11/16/2025 Added Autosave Feature To mitigate potential data loss from occasional issues with Apple's Document-Based App API when closing documents, the app now includes an autosave feature. It automatically saves a copy of each document to a dedicated autosave folder, except for documents already stored in that folder. Older autosave files are automatically deleted to manage storage. The autosave limit (default: 10 files) can be customized in the app's settings. 1.14 10/06/2025 Graphical UI upgrades (Liquid Glass) Stability improvements 1.13 09/18/2025 Stability improvements 1.12 09/08/2025 Added Image Support: Seamlessly paste images from the system pasteboard to set them as backgrounds or use them as symbols, enhancing your creative workflow. Reworked the toolbar system. Added dedicated Undo and Redo buttons to the toolbar. Introduced "Rotate" and "Scale" manipulation modes when a reference point is set. Improved resolution for PNG exports, with a 16-megapixel limit to prevent memory issues. "Force Line" and "Snap to Grid" are now disabled by default. Enabling or disabling "Force Line" automatically toggles "Snap to Grid" for convenience, while still allowing independent control of "Snap to Grid" when needed. Added new example sketch: "Flicker-Free LED Dimming" Bug fixes and stability improvements. 1.11 08/17/2025 Added new options to document settings: "Include Grid in Export" - When enabled, the grid will be shown in the exported PNG image! "Grid Line Thickness Scale for Export" - Grid line thickness will be multiplied by this factor for export. "Clearance Margin" - Defines the amount of empty space added around the content in the exported image. Now "Force line" will also affect stretched strokes if enabled! Improved stroke endpoint selection algorithm. It’s now possible to distinguish between strokes that share the same endpoint! The Reference Point marker now has the same (configurable) color as "Rect Select." 1.10 02/25/2025 Bugfix: Drawing dots on the snap grid should now work as intended. 1.9 02/05/2025 Infinity Sketch can now convert any stroke into a perfect Arc / Circle! ---- Here is how it's done: 1. Select the strokes to convert into arcs with the "Rectangle Select" tool. 2. Set the Reference Point to the arc center. 3. In the dropdown menu, choose "Edit arc" (instead of "Rotate endpoint"). 4. Drag the endpoints of a selected stroke to convert it into an arc! ---- It's now possible to draw dots on the enabled snap grid! The drawn dot will be centered, and it is ensured that the stroke is closed at the snapped position. Pro hint: Draw dots with a transparent color to create invisible "stroke endpoints" to create snapping anchor points for edit operations! Minor fixes and improvements. 1.8 02/04/2025 Introduced a new Document Settings overlay. PNG images will now export with a background color by default. Use the new Document Settings overlay to set up exports with a transparent background. Customize the colors of "Background", "Snap Indicator", "Line Indicator", and "Rect Select" in the Document Settings overlay. The back button now closes open overlays before exiting the document. Minor fixes and improvements. 1.7 12/31/2024 New toolbar button to disable scroll and zoom 1.6 12/14/2024 Fixed toolbar issues! 1.5 12/12/2024 Hotfix for iOS 18.1 (which had previously completely broken the app) Unfortunately, there are still issues with the toolbar. These are known issues with Apple’s document-based app API, which I cannot fix on my end. As a workaround, moving the app to the background and reopening it from the task manager usually helps. I’ll keep an eye on this and apply a fix as soon as possible. 1.4 10/29/2024 Stability improvements 1.3 10/24/2024 The back button now exits Rect Select mode if active, instead of closing the document. The example sketch now displays the correct background color in light mode. Added a link to my X profile. Renamed the share button to "Export as PNG". 1.2 10/12/2024 1.1 10/08/2024
