According to Forbes, México is the economy number 10th in the world. Just among Europe, USA, China, Japan, Germany, Russia, UK, France….
And yes, we have all the problems that come with a number 10th economy…

This is no news, it is always the same.
6:45 am at one of our high ways -Periferico Norte- going downtown, 9 lanes completely full. Gas is expensive, endless commute (1 passenger per car, average!), one could learn a second language during stops, and we are so used to it.

This is how the city traffic looks like in the morning. I do not know how you might picture Mexico, we have more than 2 million cars in the city.
This is an everyday scene in Mexico City. I don’t know how you picture one of the largest cities in the world, but traffic is really an indicator of its people, ways and living.
Mexico City has about 25 million people and more than 2 million cars going up and down. This photograph is the “Circuito Interior” (Interior Circuit) one of the fast roads we have. We have faster ones, but I thought this one would be a good example, as you can see. (hahaha!) I suggest you to click into the picture so you can get a glimpse of the sort of roads we have, the kind of cars we drive. If you look into detail, you will find out that most cars have only one passenger, the driver! It is not used to carpool for many reasons. (You can ask me why later 🙂 )
